Re: The Book of Queen of Spades (Breathing)
That doesn't stop them from being attacked since you can attack your own figures. I'm not sure that you need to change what you have in the SP, just expressing my concern that it might make her too strong.

Re: The Book of Queen of Spades (Breathing)
Comparing Queen to Purple Man. Scores are exactly the same. I would equate Royal Flush about equal to Pheromone Control and Deceptions about the same as Reactive Mind Control. Purple Man is 165. I really think Deceptions is close with only a few minor tweaks needed to maybe reduce its effectiveness to curb its cost.
The more I think about it, the more I believe it should be fine. Using the X on her is risky (and might be difficult to place there once the team is complete) and without it you need a 12 (45% success). A single bad roll for the RFG can spell doom as most only have a 4 Defense. I really think I would like to see how the power does as it is, but I have ideas to reduce its effectiveness/cost |

Re: The Book of Queen of Spades (Breathing)
Seems reasonable, it was my gut reaction, but I forgot how much tension there will be for the X OM in this build so it's likely that she does need the 12+ more often.

Re: The Book of Queen of Spades (Breathing)
I don’t think it’s too bad. Not much worse than Deadpool. I would add a non-adjacent clause to it though, so if you’re right next to her you can still punch her. That paired with weaker stats I think is fine, at least until testing shows otherwise.

Re: The Book of Queen of Spades (Breathing)
I would roll with Deceptions as is, with one caveat. I would restrict the friendly figures bit to Aristocratic ones. There's no need for her to be a super pod friendly generalist in a way that would step on future design space. But within her Royal Flush Gang faction? Sure, make her plenty effective and push her towards being with them.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Queen of Spades (Breathing)
I also like the idea of it working with non-adjacent attacks only, to give you an avenue to shut her down. But on the face of it I like the mechanic and it makes sense for a face changer lady.

Re: The Book of Queen of Spades (Breathing)
OK. Lets make the change official here then
DECEPTIONS 12 If Queen of Spades or a friendly figure within 4 spaces of Queen of Spades is targeted for a non-adjacent attack, you may roll the 20-sided die and after rolling the die, you may reveal the X Order Marker on this card to add 3 to the result. If you roll 12 or higher you may choose a figure other than the attacker within 4 clear sight spaces of Queen of Spades and switch the targeted figure with the chosen figure. The attacking figure must then target and attack the chosen figure, if possible. Figures moved with this special power will not take any leaving engagement attacks. |

Re: The Book of Queen of Spades (Vote for Initial)
I feel like making it non-adjacent only will make it so that it's just never triggered while you can make a player affect their own friendly. They'll just stick to melee attacks or do ranged ones when none of their figures are in range to be affected.
I mean, I don't hate powers that are basically psychological denial and never really trigger just because folks can avoid them triggering at a slight adjustment to their strategies, but I don't think it's optimal if it can be avoided. Any response at least to why folks weren't feeling my suggestion? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
