Help me create pre-built armies for a birthday tournament

I'm looking for some help creating pre-built armies, starting with what I already have in my collection and perhaps adding to it where appropriate.

I'm going to have a small tournament for my birthday. No one playing in the tournament is really very familiar with Heroscape, so all of the armies will be coming from my collection.

Unfortunately, this might end up being a case of the blind leading the blind, since I'm really not the most experienced Heroscape player around.

So I'm posting this thread with the hope that you guys can offer some insight on how to best use the units I have to create some fun and balanced armies for a small tournament. I'm willing to purchase additional units if you can make strong case for why I would need them. But ideally I'd like to keep the additional purchases to a minimum.

I need to do a similar thing for Origins learn to play. I did not look closely on what you have, but I highly recommend you check out @1Mmirg 's Mini-Mighties: Quick, Pre-Fab Armies, which has some of the most popular tournament armies at smaller point levels, including 300, 350, and the original Mini-Mighties (440 pts). Also, check out the C3V/SoV Mini Mighties thread I started. Also, since its your event, you could always allow proxies with printed cards.
