I thought the fish out of water thing worked fairly well in Thor 1. The big bad was a bit of a dud, but Thor himself and Loki were both fairly entertaining.

Though to be fair, looking back, Loki was probably the best thing about Thor 2. Especially Chris Evans Loki.

The first game of heroscape I ever played was based on the portals in Thor 2. We had 7 separate maps set up (each representing the 7 realms), each with an artifact and “AI” enemies. The goal was to get an artifact and return it to Midgard. Every time a figure moved at least 1 space you rolled an attack die, if you rolled a blank you would teleport to one of the other realms randomly. That was the ONLY way to get from map to map. It was so much fun

Jane Foster sucks in the MCU, but that's because the movies were bad, not because of the character or actress. Portman is a top-tier actress when she's in a movie that isn't bottom-of-the-barrel sci-fi. So I'm excited! Pretty much just for Thor 4 and Eternals, honestly. Can take or leave the rest of that slate.

The whole list intrigues me, but Thor, Black Widow, and Dr. Strange are the ones I'm most looking forward to. Eternals seems like an iffy one. I think I'm most excited to hear news of MCU Fantastic 4 and Mutants being in the works. I can't wait for Marvel's fix of the bad and really bad versions of FF.

Might be the whole Inhumans fiasco in the back of my mind, but Eternals seems like one that has the potential to go really, really poorly.

This is where I'm at too. However, the cast for Inhumans was good, they just went cheap with effects and the plot suffered because of it. (Who plans to write Medusa without her hair?)

I guess it's because I don't know anything about them, but the Eternals don't excite me at all. Maybe once I start seeing trailers that will change. They don't really seem to have anything unique like a talking Racoon or walking Tree to make them feel fresh and original though. Just some 'aliens' that look exactly like humans and have secretly been living among us. I'm starting to fall asleep just thinking about it.
