I got to play in 5 games total.
Game 1 First one Vanguard and I went up against Hex and DangerMouse on Cursed Village. Hex was either feeling really lucky or really crazy, because he brought Dund to the table although Q9 was riding shotgun. I brought some Marro Stingers and Vanguard had some Melee guys (Ninjas and Monks). DangerMouse had the Reavers and some Marro Stingers as well. Vanguard was rolling some strong defensive dice and we managed to capture all 3 glyphs. We managed to bring down Q9 with some 5 dice Stinger shots (+1 glyph and +1 Juice). DangerMouse seriously rolled 4 juice rolls in the 1-4 range in a row on his Stingers. Dund moved in for action and managed to actually knock a turn marker off of my Stingers, but then got a cap to his face the next round. Overall a pretty ugly game for team Dund. Game 2 I was on Three Rivers going against HiredGun and DangerMouse. HG had zombies, krug and 4th mass. Danger had some Stingers, Syvvaris, and friends. I had the vampire crew. I was raising all kinds of destruction with Cyprien early and managed to chill touch krug for 6 damage. Krug was then angry and nearly killed me, but I lived to another attack round. I missed the chill touch, but rolled 2 skulls on him. His 1 shield kept in alive for another round, and was the death of Cyprien. I then took out Krug with Warden 816 after getting the init roll. At this point, HG and myself had very few guys left and DangerMouse still had Agent carr and Crixus along with some stingers. Danger got the W here. Game 3 Another Three Rivers vs. Madster and Mrs. Hired Gun. Madster had his wolves and they were angry. He rolled 18 (gives them 5 attack) 3 times in a row on them and then once more later, plus he got a 20 (9 attack) once. I brought in Alastair and 4x Macdirk warriors. They were attacking with 7 for awhile, but a few missed attack rolls of the wolves turned the battle towards Madster's favor. Madster also had the Krav and they faced off again Mrs HG's Krav. Her Krav made quick work of Madster's (if I remember right). Q9 was brought in and the wolves rolled 3 hits against 0 defense dice (Q9 breathing through a straw). Madster finished off Q9 and I killed off the wolves. Madster then brought over agent carr and managed to pot shot Alastair, thus removing my 7 attack from the Macdirks and ending my chances. Mrs HG had brought over her 2 remaining units (Minons of Utgar) and they had to face off against Agent Carr. remarkably Agent C lasted a few rounds against them, and they against his sword. Eventually, though Agent died and Madsters wolf hero with one life left ran forward to be slaughtered by the Minons. Game 4 Madster vs me on Ruins of Pine Tree Marsh. I had stingers, nagrubs and the big hivelord from SotM. Madster had Nikitas, Krav, Gorillas and Agent Carr. He got off to an amazing start by putting 5 wounds on my big boy with only 3 shots. I managed to kill one of his Nikitas before the big guy went down. It was not looking good for me at this point. My stingers moved in and killed off another Nikita and then Madster moved the Krav in. They killed a Stinger or 2 I think, but my Stingers moved quickly to eliminate all of the Krav. The 4 remaining Gorillas were called into action next and after killing a Stinger, they too died along with the final Nikita. Agent carr moved in and killed off 2 Stingers before being shot to death from Range. Game 5 This was HSL and me vs Cory and Mrs. HSL on Cursed Village. I had 4th mass and sgt. drake (old). HSL had reavers, Q9, and marro drones. Opposing team had Stingers, Minons of Utgar, Q9, Deadeye Dan and reavers. We got to the middle early and my 4th mass killed 2 minons with 2 attack dice early. The minons continued to get very unlucky dice rolls until they were killed off, while our reavers gobbled up the glyphs in the middle. Mrs HSL brought in some Stingers and eventually they were overcome by the 4th mass and HSL's Q9. Cory's Q9 moved to the middle and was tied up by the HSL's reavers until Sgt Drake could move up for the final death blow. |

here's some weecaps of the games I played in:
Game 1 - Cursed Village rehlers covered this one pretty good, but I think Dangermouse only rolled a 1 three times for the stingers. His fourth came in his next game. Between me rolling like crap on defense, dmouse killing off his own stingers, and rehlers/vanguard getting the glyphs, this game was a train wreck for team Dund. Game 2 – Ice Marsh Most fun (funnest?) game of the day for me. Vanguard and I teamed up against HSL and Kid Dizaster. I stubbornly fielded Dund, Laglor and Q9 again. I figured Vanguard trashed that army, he should have to play alongside it too! Vanguard brought Marro Warriors, Nagrubs x2, Su-Bak-Na and Ke-Mo-Shi. HSL brought Q9, Nakita Agents and KMA. Kid Dizaster had Q9, Laglor, KMA and Isamu. So yeah, we had 3 Q9's, 2 KMA and 2 Laglor's on the board. The game got started with Vanguard rushing his marro warriors to the glyphs and both sides trying to drop the other's Laglor from long range. Despite the marro warriors getting the +1 def glyph for us, my Laglor went down first. A little double-KMA whammy pushed the marro warriors off the glyphs, but Vanguard saved one back in his starting zone and would clone them back to 3 strong later in the game. Vanguard brought Kee-Mo-Shi all the way over to our opponent's side of the board and started to toxic skin the crap outta their guys. Laglor eventually fell. I shifted my Q9 around the board and got the +1 def glyph that HSL's KMA had been keeping warm for my Q9. My Q9 proceeded to clear the board of KMA's and Nakita's that were left and that nuisance Isamu. HSL was down to Q9 and Q9 only (not a bad figure to be left with, unless you see Dund creeping up on you...and even then you're pretty much ok). As expected, not much happening here, I gave it 2 or 3 tries, but I just couldn't paralyze him. So Dund choked on the end of Q9's Queglix gun. After Kee-Mo-Shi went down, Vangaurd put a hurt on Kid Disaster's Q9 when he rolled 5 of 7 skulls with SBN. I don't remember if Kid Dizaster's Q9 already had a wound or not, but that was the KO punch. SBN went one-hit wonder on us though and didn't do much of anything else before getting taken down by HSL's Q9. In the end, it came down to HSL's Q9 versus my Q9 and Vanguard's MW. I had height to go along with our advantage of turns. I think I rolled 4 out of 5 skulls on one attack and that finally gave us victory. Game 3 – Broken Skyline I wanted to play on this map since I hadn't before and it went into the BoV so quickly and unanimously. I probably should've fielded my Q9/Nakita army, but I had played Q9 the last two games and wanted to change it up. Vanguard dropped the AE before the first round and took the high ground. One of the glyphs was a summoning glyph and he summoned my Sonlen w/o any turn markers right into the range of 3 AE. I had already lost a squad of monks trying to approach the towers and at that point I said screw it. That game was a death march and I wasn't going to have anything to do with it anymore. I forfeited before the end of round two so I could go play in another game rather feed my men to the slaughter. Quite a few factors weighed heavily against me in that match, and I realize that, but I'm still not a big fan of this map. Game 4 – Ember Canyon Road Dangermouse and I both were nearing our curfew, so we opted to play a quick game against each other. He made the mistake of only fielding a 400pt army in a 1 player match, but made up for it by getting Theracus on a summon glyph and bringing my Q9 into some lava for an abrupt exit on turn 1. From there, it was mostly my Nakita Agents vs his stingers and Syvarris. A few lucky smoke powders later and it was Agent Carr vs a bunch of reavers. I had the common attack +1 glyph and brought him down with sheer numbers. |

Fear the Dund!
I have to agree with you, Hex. Out of all the games I played (and lost), that was the one I had the best time on. Curse you Magic Box!! |
