But I've run out of excuses (ha-ha), because the forecast calls for a pleasant weekend (clear, sunny, mild temps.). since there's so few opportunities to play HS any more, I AM NOW planning to attend this event at TFGS in Savage on 3/7/15. While thinking about some of the armies that I might use for this event, I came up with two simple methodologies. #1. Either take any 70 point Squad x3 plus one Hero at 100 points to give you 10 - 14 figures at 310 total points - i.e. Pick three from Column A and one from Column B. COLUMN A. ========== 4th Mass. Line Inf. Aubrien Elf Archers Axegrinders of TBF Capuan Gladiators Deepwyrm Drow Warriors Heavy Grut Orcs Mohican River Tribe Phantom Knights COLUMN B. ========= Agent Carr Ana Karithon Deathwalker 7000 Gurei-Oni Haduc Iron Golem Jarek GuyJorhdawn Major X1-7 Marcus Decimus Gallus Morsbane Ornak Pelloth Priscus Sir Denrick Syvarris Tornak Ulfrid Wyvern . . . OR . . . #2. Take any 100 point Hero or Squad x2 plus one Hero or Squad at 110 points to give you 3 - 10 figures at 310 total points - i.e. Pick two from Column C and one from Column D. COLUMN C. ========== Agent Carr Deathstalkers Deathwalker 7000 Granite Guardians Haduc Iron Golem Jarek Guy Jorhdawn Kozuke Samurai Krav Maga Agents Marcus Decimus Gallus Major X-17 Microcorp Agents Mind Flayer Mastermind Morsbane Obsidian Guards Ornak Ogre Pulverizer Omnicron Snipers Pelloth Priscus Quasatch Hunters Shades of Bleakwoode Sir Denrick Syvarris Tornak Ulfrid Varkaanan Quickblades Wyvern COLUMN D. ========= Acolarh Akumaken Alastair MacDirk B-11 Resistance Corps. Brunak Dund Elite Onyx Vipers Evar Scarcarver Laglor Manauvi Migol Ironwill Mika Connour Minions of Utgar Moriko Ninjas of the No. Wind Protectors of Ullar Quorik Warwitch Rhogar Dragonspine Sentinels of Jandar Sgt. Drake Alexander (RotV) Sharwin Wildborn Tomoe Gozen Valguard Varkaanan Greyspears . . . but this produces over 840 different combinations to choose from. If @clancampbell still needs help deciding on an army, then I suggest he randomly picks one from this list, but that would be weirdness. Actually I'm considering bringing: #1. Moltenclaw and Othkurik . . . 2 @ 310 pts on 4 hexes #2. Sgt Drake (RotV), Raelin (RotV), and Kaemon Awa . . . 3 @ 310 pts. #3. Azurite Warlord, Krug, and 1x Deathreavers . . . 6 @ 305 pts. #4. 2x Protectors of Ullar and Atlaga . . . 7 @ 310 pts. #5. 3x Microcorp Agents and Otonashi . . . 10 @ 310 pts. #6. 2x Zombie Hulks, 3x Zombies of Morindan, and Isamu . . . 12 @ 310 pts. #7. 3x Axegrinders and Ulfrid . . . 13 @ 310 pts. #8. 3x Microcorp Troopers and 2x Hoplitrons . . . 14 @ 310 pts. . . . and may have to roll a d8 to make my final decision &OBTW: @Dad_Scaper ~ Yesterday I built two maps from your posted list: the 3-Player "Sacrifice" by Dignan and the 4-Player "Jungle Rot" by Dignan, which I will bring with me. Do you need me to bring more maps than these? Re: Maryland Multiplayer Madness: The Return to Savage, 3/7!
I'll be coming! I'm looking at a few armies.
4x Anubian Wolves and Isamu. Khosumet, 3x Anubian Wolve and Isamu. Nick Esenewein, 5 Thralls and Marcu. Sujoah and Fyorlag Spiders x3. Edit: Sherman Davies will be coming too! But we won't be driving together. ![]() Last edited by Taeblewalker; March 3rd, 2015 at 03:08 PM. |

Re: Maryland Multiplayer Madness: The Return to Savage, 3/7!
Yes!
Excellent. So glad you guys can make the trip. A Nick army is an interesting possibility which I'd consider too, but for the fact that I can't find the mini any more. ![]() edit: @Johngee , I see you sneaked your RSVP into an edit in that post. Great! Please bring those two and we'll be fine with maps, I think. I'll have to check later. @Gurei-Ornery , if any of the other maps speak to you, let me know. Re: Maryland Multiplayer Madness: The Return to Savage, 3/7!
Finally finished up the map I'm bringing to the tournament:
Forgotten Ridge ![]() I've only got the trees from 1 RttFF set, but need 2 for the map. Would someone be able to lend me a set of their trees? Thank you! |

Re: Maryland Multiplayer Madness: The Return to Savage, 3/7!
Fallow!!!
I have no interest in answering your question, because I am burning to know if your appearance in this thread means you will be joining us again. Well, ok, I'll answer your question. Return to first principles. If you did the damage to the opponent's figure, you get the points. If you stole something, did you damage it? No. If it's under your opponent's control, is it his figure? Yes. If you borrow a Marcu, you get points for using it. If you are damaged by a mind-shackled Isamu (hey, it could happen), it was under your opponent's control, and he gets the points. |

Re: Maryland Multiplayer Madness: The Return to Savage, 3/7!
I'd love to but 2 1/2 hours is a haul. I most likely can't make it even though I'm suffering GDW (game day withdrawal)
You're all welcome to game at my place instead ![]() Your answer is clear that taking temp control of a fig and doing damage with it gives you points, but it's still not clear if damaging a controlled fig also gives points. Specific example: Your Mind Flayer takes control of my Moriko. You use Moriko to melee attack my Charos. Charos's counterstrike kills Moriko. Do I get points? -Member, defeated by Xanth club. -Selling most of my 'Scape to keep from losing my house :/ |
