Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop
As someone familiar with primates and who doesn't like getting bogged down in specific figures and technicalities (such as how many pounds someone can press - how the hell should I know?) I've just started using 'are they at least as strong as an adult male gorilla' as my standard for superstrength. It's fairly intuitive.

Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop
By dino-dependent I meant it's going to vary dino-to-dino, if that wasn't clear.
Also, it's not like those are just regular, everyday gorillas, btw. They're enhanced, super beings. Much like, I imagine, Satannus isn't a run of the mill t-rex. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop
Savage Land Scenarios could be real some day...Alright.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop
Depends: was the average T-Rex exposed to a meteorite that gave it super intelligence and enhanced strength far beyond a regular member of its species?
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop
That's not what he's saying. It doesn't matter whether there hasn't been a comic-book-y weird origin for them, T-Rexes are super strong anyway. If we're saying that GCWs are stronger than T-Rexes, then I'm feeling we undershot the.

Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop
According to some quick research, a typical gorilla (non-enhanced) could lift about 4,600 lbs and a typical t-rex could lift about 400 lbs with its arms. Could find any data on other lifting styles from t-rexes.
They definitely bite hard. So do alligators. Would I say either of those is definitely as strong as a super ape? Not without stronger evidence. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop
No one's arguing they'd be able to do it with their arms, though. They'd be throwing with their mouths.

Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop
Just answering the question asked of me. If T-Spinny (the asker) is unhappy with my answer I'll trust him to clarify his intention.

Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop
Pretty obvious a T-Rex is not using their arms to pick up anything.
That is why Satanus originally had a power called Tiny Arms. Even if a GCW is stronger than an average T-Rex which I find laughable that is not the standard. Quote:
Also a T-Rex weighs 9 tons! How can something that heavy even move without Superstrength? And these are real T-Rex not comic book T-Rex which look like they pack a little extra. |

Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop
I have next to no experience with comic book T-Rexes, so I really couldn't comment on how they behave.
I also don't agree at all with johnny's analysis of our standards for Super Strength, unless they were altered during my hiatus. Our standards for Super Strength are (for as long as I've been involved) the following: 1. Can lift a ton 2. Can throw a car 3. Can survive a significant fall with little to no damage 4. Can knockback another figure in a fight I put T-Rexes through that analytical lens based on my understanding of them and I'd say the results were in an inconclusive gray area. What you choose to do with that is up to you. But don't use Gorilla City Warriors as justification either way, as they legitimately have Super Strength, not the strength of normal gorillas. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop
But that quote is for the Ape Gang who have no meteor enhancement.
If the GCW are not the baseline, what is? What is the weakest figure with SS? Explain to me how a 9 ton creature cannot have SS? Also I think I proved all those questions with the comic page I posted. Can a GCW get run over by a bus, instantly spring to its feet and then lift said bus? |
