Depends on who all is interested in LDing them! I'd think doing both could be fun.

Initial probing on Discord suggests that at least some characters from the Wild Cards series could be viable for C3G design. I'm interested to know if anyone else is familiar with and interested in this series. For what will, no doubt, be at least the majority of you: Wild Cards is a shared world anthology book series with a superhero theme. While it is predominantly in book form, there are some comics (and maybe one or more future TV shows) for the series. YEOMAN’S NEMESIS
At the beginning of the game, choose an opponent’s Unique or Event Hero to be Yeoman’s Nemesis. If an opponent controls a Crime Lord, then a Crime Lord must be the chosen Nemesis. If Yeoman attacks his Nemesis with a normal attack, add 2 additional dice to his attack.

ZEN FOCUS
If Yeoman did not move this turn and is unengaged, when he attacks all blanks rolled count as additional hits and he may attack two additional times.

MENTAL SHIELD
An opponent may never take temporary or permanent control of Yeoman.

I also considered Close Combat Expert (with reduced Att/Def) as a power possibility.

Is the combination of his Nemesis and Focus powers too powerful with 4 attack dice and range? I'm not sure how much the conditions of those powers mitigate that. From a combat perspective he should not be more powerful than characters like Batman and Green Arrow.

6 Attack at 8 Range is already super-strong. All blanks rolled as skulls is a super powerful effect, and double attack is too.
This guy's going to be sniping gods.
Love the idea, and a long ranged, static sniper Vigilante sounds like a fun addition to the game, but we could do with some tweaking. Maybe just 3 Attack, +1 for Nemesis? Still fairly strong, but only really scary if he holds still and targets his Nemesis, and even then it probably shouldn't be too much (though he'll like height, Avengers boosts etc). He might end up worth more than Green Arrow, but honestly, as one of the first cards, Green Arrow was arguably lowballed a bit from where he could be - just compare the first Hawkeye card with the latest. For someone who's only going to get one card, it seems fine.

Yeah, he is better than Punisher by a mile and that is saying a lot.
Looks like there was a short comic run, so that helps.

When I had Close Combat Expert on him his attack was 3. He's a better fighter than that in close combat, which is why I moved it up to 4 when I took that off. I assume adding Close Combat Expert would be too many powers?

Nemesis is at +2 because I took it from Drax and wasn't sure if it worked to change the number since it's essentially the same power. It's probably fine for it to come down otherwise.

I was concerned about all those dice with range. The flip side is all you have to do to take the focus power out is engage him or move out of his range, and he's only getting those extra dice against one character. I haven't play tested him so I'm not sure how it works out in-game.

This explains where the Zen Focus and Mental Shield are coming from:

He is a master of zen archery, possessing almost superhuman precision. He is also preternaturally fast when shooting. After entering a brief zen trance to empty his mind, Yeoman can shoot 4 or 5 enemies in as many seconds, placing arrows just where he wants in each of their bodies. His zen training makes him capable of other amazing feats, such as blanking his conscious mind so completely as to make it impossible for a telepath to read anything from him.

Beyond that he is a trained martial artist, veteran (Vietnam), and story-wise he is intent on taking out this guy named Kien who killed his pregnant wife back in Vietnam.

He fights alongside some very powerful folks (even in space) and holds his own.

Would it be OK to add the Mental Shield power to his Zen Focus or would that be too much for a single power? Maybe that would make room for Close Combat Expert and allow a stat reduction?

There are characters with 4 powers and these are all fairly simple - just adding CCE wouldn't bug me.
Dropping the Nemesis boost should be fine, Drax or no Drax - the power name is different simply because you've swapped out the character name, and the power's already different because he has to pick a Crime Lord is possible rather than Thanos.
