Just a thought, but I think it would make the memberlist much more useful if we put a suggested format for how to enter location information. I would suggest, for those of us in the US, State abbreviation, followed by City or general location... I am going to change mine right now to MA, South Shore of Boston. This way we can sort by locale and see who is near to us.

That is there perogative, and they would all be listed together when you sorted by location. I would never suggest making location a mandatory field. I just think that if you are comfortable posting your general location, why not do it in a consistent way that makes it easy for people to find people from their state or a nearby state. Granted, just because you live in the same state as someone else, you may not be that close (Texas, California, etc) but it gives you some idea on where people are.

Then you should be "IL, Ottawa" or "IL - Ottawa" That way when you sort by location, you can find all the "IL" people together.

Syvarris, the point is having the state first, then the city. That way when you sort the list... oh nevermind.
