Cincinnati Format-Apaloza-Mania Tournament Sat. 5/11/13

10:30-11:30 - Setup/Registration
11:30-12:20 - Round 1
12:30-1:20 - Round 2
1:30-2:20 - Round 3
2:20-2:40 - Longer break (food, RR, etc.)
2:40-3:30 - Round 4
3:40-4:30 - Round 5
4:30-5:00 - Prizes/ clean up

Concept:
Thank/ blame Wookie for the idea

Bring one 485 point (or less) army (must contain at least one hero), 24 start spaces, partial card scoring.

C3V and SoV Figures WILL be allowed, although Marvel will not.

Format-apaloza-mania will consist of a different format each round!

Round 1: Kill 'Em All: Just go at it!
Round 2: Capture the Flag (Variation): Each player will have one Brandar's Chest glyph that will be given to a hero at the beginning of the game. Controlling both Chests will automatically win the game!
Round 3: Fog of War: All ranged attacks and abilities are divided in half and rounded down!
Round 4: Treasure Quest: Secure 3 of 5 Treasure Glyphs to win!
Round 5: Reverse the Whip: You and your opponent switch armies!

Entry fee/Prizes: No entry fee. If you provide a prize for the prize table, you can pick out one at the end. The top player will pick from the prize table first, etc. Prizes can be anything...Heroscape related, other games or even a gift certificate to somewhere. Sci-Fi City is a full-service game store, and they would probably appreciate your patronage since they are allowing us to use their space.

Need Extra Figures? I have nearly everything, except the most rare units. Let me know what you need (PM me so everyone doesn't know what you're bringing!), and if we're not using it we'll be happy to bring it for you to use!

Quick question. Are you considering allowing HoSS? They are hard a work for a release May 4th (May the 4th be with you!!) so it would be releases in time for the tournament. In case you haven't heard of them, they are a group like C3V and C3G, but they have a cooler acronym and they do Star Wars. They go through the same process as the C3V and C3G, so I thought I would throw that out there.

Also, could I proxie Tarn Vikings as Dreadgulls? I'm sorry is I'm being difficult here feel free to shoot down either one of those questions.

Hmmm... I haven't heard of them, but I'll look into it. Right now I'm going to say no because I'm not sure how familiar people are with them, but I'll consider it for next time.

I don't see a big problem with that, as long as you don't have Tarns as well. How many squads? I think I have at least 2 of the 3 D&D figs used in the Dreadgulls, so maybe I could scrape together at least one squad.

I wouldn't use the Tarns. I believe I'm taking 3 squads. I'm considering Jotun, Dreadgulls x3, Airborne Elites. It would be a fun build!

That would be great! I would only need two squads. If you want to play them, feel free to. It's quite alright.
