Re: The Spellbook of Tarot: Temperance (Breathing)
Yeah you're probably going to want to prevent multiple heals on a figure one round. Otherwise you can basically heal Raven 4 wounds in the endgame in a round, which is incredibly rough if your opponent is out of multiattackers.

Re: The Spellbook of Tarot: Temperance (Breathing)
Hmm, if you wanted to, you could really streamline it and avoid some exploits. You could basically just make it so that at the start of the round you can reveal and remove a numbered Order Marker on a figure and if you do you heal one wound.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Spellbook of Tarot: Temperance (Breathing)
I like this. When I first read the card, it worried me that groups like the Wrecking Crew that could be able to heal multiple times per OM.

Re: The Spellbook of Tarot: Temperance (Breathing)
That kinda negates the main appeal, which is the soft synergy with Deadman (and to a lesser extent, Shade). The idea that it can be exploited a bit by drafting characters that have abilities outside of moving and attacking is a feature in my eyes, not a bug.

I'd like to call a VOTE for Initial Playtesting with these changes;

Re: The Spellbook of Tarot: Temperance (Vote for Initial)
The healing spell cost 20 points and that is just basted on the testing of healing 1 wound on Superman types and MD folks. Tickle is correct that the fact your opponent can also use it to heal those same types of units should keep the price down some.
I imagine some of the heroes with a special power that takes place outside of the move/attack phase will like the spell as well since they can still do something in addition to healing (like Jean Grey being able to toss someone around or Spawn being able to chain grab someone). It kind of reads like you could give up your move/attack to use a power (cast a spell) and still be able to heal as well. So MD figure does not move, then casts Healing Magic instead of attacking, heals 1W via that spell, and since they also didn't move they heal another W from this spell. Actually that plays real well with Spawn as well, he can opt not to attack in order to self heal, then gets a bonus 1W of healing from this spell because he didn't attack. |

Re: The Spellbook of Tarot: Temperance (Vote for Initial)
Yeah, something like Raven with Healing Energy is on my radar for a test. Doctor Fate (I) actually pairs well with this spell, since he can use his teleport and heal. (He still probably isn't great though.) (EDIT: Actually no, I guess teleporting counts as moving, my bad.) Also got my eyes on stuff that lets you sacrifice part of your turn to take a turn with someone else. Reveal an OM on Cyclops (I), substitute his attack for a turn with Jean who throws somebody, and have them both heal a wound, stuff like that.
