Tickle, Bats, and I discussed this last night, and though the rule book says that Glaciers MUST be placed on their Bases, these are not Glacier obstacles. We have taken the same terrain piece and made it into Ice (pieces) Destructible Objects. Like Tickle said, they actually stand up quite well without the ice tiles beneath them. No need to remove the base with it, only the piece itself - something we can FAQ or just release with its book as the official game has done with each new Destructible Object or Obstacle. With that, we also specify how it is to be placed (or thrown if it is the Ice Rock) on the battlefield - upright.

The game rules state that terrain is not allowed to be placed on any "water" or "0 height" tile. But Destructible Objects don't have that rule because they are not "terrain" specifically, they are more. However, I don't see why we would try to prevent these or any DOs from being thrown on "water" tiles, including Lava. Why should we be afraid of doing that?

Units: Professor X, Cyclops, Iceman, Beast, Angel, Jean Grey (1,000) vs. Magneto II, Destiny, Toad, Avalanche, Mystique (1,000)
[spoiler]One Ice Mountain, one Great Evergreen Tree, three Evergreen Trees, and two Ice Rocks were destroyed, and one Ice Glacier had three wounds, one Ice Glacier had two wounds, and one Ice Hill had two wounds. Lots of damage! Avalanche was a lot of fun on this one, but he has trouble hitting any DOs unless he gets a roll of 3 on his special attack (which he did here once). When he does, though, there’s plenty of mayhem, which is fun! One of the Evergreen Trees put a wound on Magneto and the Great Evergreen Tree put one wound on Destiny and one on Beast (he caused the fall). Blob’s repeated failed attempts to topple a tree instead of just punching Cyclops (who was in Psychic Defense X range) was his undoing. Magneto also got caught up with DOs early and it cost him. Cyclop’s Optic Blast is a great thing to have on a map crowded with these trees and ice structures. Beast and Jean Grey both took two wounds when Toad put the last wound on the Ice Mountain to destroy it. Iceman never healed any wounds here (it was just never worth it to sacrifice his attack).
Who won and how many wounds did they have? X-Men win on Turn 1 of Round 6 with Full life Prof X, Full life Angel, 2 life Jean Grey, and 1 life Beast remaining./spoiler]

Spoiler Alert!

An Evergreen Tree was destroyed in an early round by Cyclops’ Optic Blast and put one wound on Superman. In the final round of the game, Superman destroyed a Great Evergreen Tree and wounded both Beast and himself (he destroyed it to make sure Beast didn’t first and just wound Supes). Two Ice Rocks were destroyed here (not thrown, but one from an Optic Blast and one when Iceman healed off of it). Iceman healed three wounds in all – one from an Ice Rock, and two from an Ice Mountain. No other ice formations of trees were destroyed, but they definitely made for interesting obstacles and LOS blockers on the map.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Superman wins on Turn 2 of Round 7 with 4 wounds.

(Scarlet Witch was Recruited to the Brotherhood for this battle)
Great match. Brotherhood lead the battle in destroying the map with a combo of Magneto's throwing and Avalance's Earthquake SA. Jean Grey attempted to throw the trees back, but Magneto and gang were often able to get them into posisition and topple them. Iceman was played more aggressively here and he healed three wounds on various Glaciers, destroying one Ice Rock in the process. Avalance never triggered on the Ice Mountain and the Great Evergreen tree did not fall.
Brotherhood victory with Magneto w/ 2 wounds, and Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch with 3 wounds each.

- Give a brief summary. This changes the battlefield so much. I often left Heroes right in the paths of Trees because I just wasn't used to thinking about them in that way. I think these DOs will add much needed strategy when playing on many maps.
Units: Avengers: C3G Captain America, C3G Hulk, Wasp, Ant-Man, Fire Ants x7, Iron Man MK IV and Thor (1430) VS Avengers Foes: Ultron, C3G Doctor Doom, Doombots x4 (1435)

Spoiler Alert!

C3G Hulk leads out hoping to get enraged early on. Ultron tries to use the Trees to wound Hulk one wound at a time, but he fails his attack. When Ultron couldn't get a tree to fall on Hulk, he starts to attack him straight on, using his SA to remove OMs if he got too many wounds. Doom joins the battle and has bettle luck felling trees on Avengers and manages to kill Ant-Man and a few Fire Ants. Thor joins the battle by throwing an Ice Rock at Ultron for 1 wound. Thor actually caused the Great Evergreen to fall on Ultron. This battle was a lot of fun and the Avengers pulled it out in the end.
2 Fire Ants and Iron Man MK IV w/ 2 wounds won.

What do you mean though? No one can throw those trees because they are not figures except for equating when ATTACKING or when they have a height designation.
