Although I am not going to GenCon this year , Islandscape will again use the same format. I haven't looked at all the armies posted thus far, so I don't know that this army is unique, but here it is . . .

I thought they said Indy is expiring their rights to Gencon in a few years and it is moving to California?

As of right now it will be in Indy until 2015.

In light of recent comments by Sylvano, I'm working on a an army I can field as a member of the Valhalla Society.

I'm sacrificing ten points here, but I don't think adding a ninja would add significantly to these armies' strength, and there are much stronger reinforcement options at 100/120/140 points than at 90/110/130.

The Steam roller is so tempting to use, but I just can see going with no range to be honest -

I love me some hounds and this is one of the armies I have thought for them - yea SBN is a waste in a way, but all that bonus is just gravy in the long run ( extra plague, faster hounds, better cloning, 19 or 20 to mindshackle ) and then you do have a big attack flying guy to finish it all off with.

The first team is more fun and the second team is obviously more competitive. I played a Q9 and hounds team at a tournament and had success. I think that I only had 2 sets of hounds and krav though. This could be original if you make it second day.

Not a huge fan of melee myself, but an interesting army could be built with:

If you get to Day 2 you could be looking at a Q9 or Q10 addition which is quite interesting

@620, add Dividersx2+Isamu (25, drop Isamu/Divider) or Airborne (22) or KMA+Isamu (22).
@640, add Airborne+Marcu (23) or KMA+Marcu+Isamu (23) or Kaemon+Isamu (20) or Fen Hydra+Isamu (21).

The 40 points of filler at 600 is less than ideal, but I think the base army is pretty powerful. You could drop the 5th squad of Dividers on day one for Marro Warriors if you want a bit more range - it doesn't limit your day 2 options very much. Personally I think you're better off with more Dividers, though.

Braxas probably eats my lunch unless Atlaga comes through, but I have been punishing my friends with this base army recently. You have to be so crazy careful with your movement and Raelin placement but her posse can be really hard to kill and that extra move is so nice for getting height.
