Sure. Well, if @warriorneedsfoodbadly can't do 11/2, that settles it. Otherwise, I'm still pretty open either way. Apparently, The Mother has corrected me, the Smaller Animal isn't doing the camping thing, but he has ... I dunno, some other thing ... the day prior to that. But I'm sure he'll be fine. Really, I think the only downside of the earlier date is that it's gonna be tough to plan much of anything by that time. So the question of "formal or not" may become moot.

But, you know ... that's cool too. I'm also hoping to hear back from Quillon's crew as to whether either date is better than the other for any of them.

And still hoping someone will chime in about format suggestions.

Hmmm .... swinging back towards 10/26 a bit, I guess? No one on our side has a preference between the two dates, apparently. So whichever way you guys want to go, although I guess 10/26 is what we get if no one says otherwise.

AFA maps and format goes, what we get if no one speaks up is likely "whatever warriorneedsfoodbadly and hivelord can build out of their bins" and "I guess we're just screwing around and playing or some sh't?" But that's cool. As Quillon said to me today: the important thing is that we all get together and play. Everything beyond that is gravy.

Well, I think at this point I can say we officially are not doing any sort of formal tourney. I'm currently not planning on bringing any terrain either, so folks should let me know if that needs to change. I guess I'll just bring whatever figures I can and all the cards I have ... ?

Having not heard from wnfb lately, I texted him tonight. Hopefully he'll pop in here soon (or at least reply via text) and we can confirm what the date is. Apparently there's now some Halloween party happening on 10/26 held by one of the Smaller Animal's friends, so if 11/2 is still a viable option, I suppose we're now leaning that way. However, if 10/26 is still the best for the rest, we'll just tell the friend we have a previous engagement.

Hopefully this all falls together at the last minute. Or something.

Okay, I got a text back from wnfb and he says 10/26 is the word. And that's, you know ... next week.

So, as I said, people bring terrain, please, or else we'll have nothing to play on. I'll bring armies and as many bodies as I can wrangle up. I hope you guys can make it too.

I may be able to come in the morning, but I'd have to leave by 2:00. Is anyone coming from the inland empire? It's a 90 minute drive for me, and it might be nice to carpool (if you're OK with leaving at that time). I have some terrain I can bring... do you need it?

Also, I've never played tourney style armies (always played massive games with almost all the figs) so Idk how I'll do! But this will a be fun experience .

Honestly? Super infrequently. This year may have been the first time since the game was in production that we met outside of NHSD. Not that we wouldn't be opposed to more.

If I were able to host something in November or December how would I notify y'all about it? Could whoever's interested PM me their emails & I'll save a list?
