Re: The Book of Indigo-1
I guess I'm wrong. Apologies.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

That came off stronger than I intended. Due to the formatting that comment could have been easily missed. I thought Blunt had sent an update in the proper format. I wish he would have been a bit more vocal about the design.
Any unbalance will come out in online play. Her ability to set up and protect pods is sure to result in frequenting drafting. Re: The Book of Indigo-1
I didn't have any issues with her in personal play (I found that when she jumped on other start zones, figures with spread out Order Markers just managed to get in the first attack and figures just got into engagement faster - moving into the enemy startzone didn't really help any). But I'm not great with pod play.

Re: The Book of Indigo-1
I think the map also helped in that test. The pod was able to set up over the enemy(my) start zone.

Re: The Book of Indigo-1
I guess my thought is that unless you have a startzone bomber (like Human Torch or Harley Quinn), setting up in the enemy startzone is a bit overrated.*
Now if you have one pod army going up against a non-pod army, that's going to be a problem for the pod army every time. *Not that this concern doesn't exist with start zone bombers, but I wonder if Doctor Fate wouldn't be a better choice for them, as you wouldn't have to expose your whole pod to the bombing? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Indigo-1
Well in that second test Punisher was boosted by Bane and Captain America and he mowed down the opposition. Also somehow Indigo got 4wounds on Invisible Woman on her first turn which did not help. Anyhow the match only lasted two rounds which may have more to say about Punisher than Indigo.

Re: The Book of Indigo-1
I wonder why the opponent wouldn't have the ability in that test to move their OM1 figure to engage Punisher right away and stop him from going on a rampage right away (though I suppose all Punisher has to do is disengage).
Overall, though, my thought is that if a player moves a pod into your startzone, then the problem is less the location of the pod and more the existence of the pod. If you have a pod of your own set up in your startzone, you should be on fairly even footing, barring perhaps some temporary height disadvantage. Pod vs. non-pod is the biggest issue here, IMO. That said, I've been wrong in this thread before about expressed concerns and I know I always regret letting a design out and realizing it came with powers that didn't have enough restrictions. I thought the restriction of having to remove a Battery marker was enough, but I'm sure the competitive players will likely prove me wrong (as is typically the case). Re: The Book of Indigo-1
Exactly. The SLH will figure this one out quickly.

Re: The Book of Indigo-1
We might have to switch to a production model where we run things through them before release.
