Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
Saw Interstellar last night. A big, moving, interesting, exciting, speculative movie about what the future might bring. I enjoyed it. But, then, I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy anything Christopher Nolan does at this point.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Did Matthew McConaughey roll his boogers between his fingers while driving the spaceship and talking about how he flew that spaceship before it was the cool thing to do?

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
Watched a movie called Snowpiercer last night. It's a post apocalyptic movie that takes place on a train and stars captain America...I mean Chris Evans...really cool movie.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
It was surprisingly good considering the ludicrous premise.

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?
Watched Snowpiercer last night after seeing it on this thread and it felt a lot like one of the popular young adult dystopias that have been so big in the bookstores lately. Very Hunger Games meets the Giver meets Divergent on a train (with a bit of a crime caper vibe) - obviously with a slightly more adult take on it.
I guess I really like the film as an example of the type of short sci-fi stories I grew up on, writ large on screen. Having said that, it felt like a story I'd read a dozen times with all the "shockers" feeling very scripted and played for audience effect instead of arising naturally out of what was happening to the characters. ~Aldin, who gave it four stars on Netflix ps Can you tell I'm conflicted? He either fears his fate too much or his desserts are small That dares not put it to the touch to gain or lose it all ~James Graham |
