Re: I am comic book collector...I collect [blank]

I got started this past xmas. I went thru and found all but maybe 10-15 issues that had DC's Scarecrow in it as a gift for my girlfriend. Her favorite villain. Very surprising all of the various series that he has appeared in. Since then, become a bit addicted and have been collecting all issues with the Riddler, and Harley Quinn as well as putting together the massive Crisis series. Started with Identity Crisis and going thru Final Crisis. Basically it is all DC comics.

I have also been collecting the Dark Tower series and recently have been looking at collecting Asterix the Gaul and Tintin books.

We're on the right trail. Flies and the undead go together like bullets and guns.

I collect anything that Tom Waltz puts out. After meeting him at Comic-con for the release of Children of the Grave I have loved his writing style and personality.

Thinking of starting Elephantmen and Walking Dead

Re: I am comic book collector...I collect [blank]

I can't afford to collect anymore but there was a time when I collected Spiderman, X-men, and Star Wars (Marvel). I read X-men from 1979 until 1984. I had all the issues from this time including the Dark Phoenix Sage, the introduction of Kitty Pride, and the Days of Future Past. I still say Days of Future Past is still the crowning moment of the X-Men.

Re: I am comic book collector...I collect [blank]

I am a decent enough collector, having 3700 + comics (from my last count 4 years ago and six long boxes later) I will honestly state that unless there is a particularly intersting story line involving a combination of characters that I thought would be awsome together or a twisted version there of, I collect next to no comics in tights.

I am a collector of stories like 100 bullets, Fables, Ward of the State.... quite frankly a darker version of TV, Movies and old tales told before the scaled touch of the brothers Grim.

I do like the new Batman style (after what Cloony did to the show and the emotional freeze crippled) I had nearly given up on the whole thing.

If you haven't already, check out The Walking Dead. Best non-tight comic out there.

I have, it's not bad. Not my top fav or anything. I have been a bottom floor supporter of IDW comics in general. Even Darkhorse is down right sappy by comparison to half the dark comics they have brought to the table...... a few exceptions but not to many from the compitition.

Thought of another great non-tight comic. Scarlet by Bendis and Maleev. Only three issues out so far so it shouldn't be hard to get caught up. It's on Marvel's Icon imprint.
