Character Bio - Orphaned at the age of six, the Peter Parker of Earth 1610 is an outcast and withdrawn teenaged science prodigy from Queens, NY. His life changed forever during a trip to Oscorp, where he was bitten by a radioactive spider and given his spectacular super powers. Spider-Man is a neophyte superhero- guilt-stricken by the loss of his uncle- who quickly impresses A-lister like Captain America, Iron Man, Nick Fury, and Wolverine with his willingness to learn and strong moral code. Ultimately, the world learned that Peter was struck down in a battle with the Green Goblin after taking a bullet to save Captain America, inspiring Miles Morales to fill his shoes and become Spider-Man. Unbeknownst to much of Earth-1610, the Oz Serum that mutated Peter Parker gave him another superpower: immortality.

Giantslayer's point calc put this in the 180 point range as far as I can tell.

(Medium 4 is a placeholder until my copy of the figure arrives in the mail this week, but I'm pretty sure it's right based on my recollection of the mini.)

While I have no issue with the "attacking that opponent's figure" clarification (good callout!) I would prefer for this to trigger on any attack (why wouldn't Spider-Man care about The Punisher's special attack?) and I would also prefer for it to trigger based on the location of a friendly character being attacked unless there's a very good reason not to do it that way.

Other than the aforementioned target swapping mechanic, it doesn't do any of these things.

It gets a mild attack bonus, but I'm not aware of anything egregious.

2. Is your design adding to the stats or 20-sided die rolls of other figures in your army? Is it a boosting a broad enough range of units effectively enough to become a 'mandatory' draft or inhibit future design space? Can it be combined with other boosts too easily?
Not that I can see.

3. Will your design benefit from stat boosts or other enhancement to an overpowering degree? Will it restrict future growth within its faction or point cost by limiting available boosts to others?

I suppose this could be an issue if the Spider-Verse or Fighter factions get a *VERY* effective healer, but I don't think that's likely.

Looks good so far. We've made some changes on things like the timing mentioned in power and responsibility.

Reused Powers
Verify that the design is reusing special powers in place of creating new ones (and, where relevant, reusing power markers in the place of creating new ones), where reused special powers (or power markers) could implement the same theme and mechanics with no differences or only trivial differences. Verify that any reused special powers have the correct text.
It's good as far as I'm aware.

Power Level
Verify that the character's movement, attack, range, and defense (in conjunction with any special powers that enhance those stats) feel consistent with the capabilities of characters with analogous powers and abilities. Verify that the character falls into a similar point range to characters with comparative powers and abilities.
I think it's about right, and used the giantslayer calculator as a rule of thumb.

It looks like he won a little less than half of the time, and it sounds like he wasn't very high impact in one of these games. Still, I hear the concerns about being too good at the defensive and offensive roles at the same time. I'm wondering what y'all think of the following changes

2. I also gave him the crossover symbol to match change #1.
3. I changed Step Up to only boost a normal attack against an adjacent opposing character. This should make it riskier for Peter to Step Up, and slightly more difficult to gain height advantage, reducing his chances of getting 7 attack dice.

I'm told we should suggest art in the third post. Idk what this should look like.

There's some excellent, high res art from Mark Bagley who did well over 100 issues with Bendis for this run, it actually set some records for longest writing/artist pairing at the time. Something like this would be great if it could work.

Alternatively, I might also suggest that we just use the art from the first issue's cover. It's somewhat stylized, but it's iconic.

The art post should have mini photos, comic art, and potential backgrounds for the minis. Don't have to get them straight away, I didn't get Cammy backgrounds until her playtesting was pretty much done. For an idea how to lay that out just look at some of the other books. I've always done it with the 3 sections in their own spoilers. You'll want some large images. First one might be okay but is a bit blurry. Second one is very small and probably won't fit on the card too well.

Design looks good! Is there a certain faction in mind for him? I can see him being great in a Fighter build, keeping Luke Cage or Wolverine healthy. And always been a fan of Go The Distance.

I'd love him to play well with fighters, in my mind he's very street level. Would also like to see him in Spider-Verse builds if possible but think the first route is more interesting.
