Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
Would Valhallascape Gladiators be the best comps (subtracting some for no weapons or armor)?
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
Aiming for around 50-90 seems good. Kickass is 50 so somewhere around there or a little higher works well.
One other thing to consider, is making sure the powers actually make sense thematically to what they are capable of. Know Your Role, for example, shutting opponents down May fit in a promo world, but what is he doing that actually enables him to stop Thanos or the like from doing anything. Something that sees him do like a Nebula approach, where someone fails to wound someone, he comes in to try and show them up would work. Or even just a “Instead of taking a turn with someone, you may take a turn with the Rock”. Or instead of moving with them you can move and attack with the Rock. |

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
The Rock is arguably one of the best professional wrestlers when it comes to mic skills. Know Your Role (and Shut Your Mouth) is intended to represent his ability and proclivity to interrupt those around him and shine the light on himself. It could be powered down some, i.e. make it more like Raphael's Self Importance, but he doesn't just interrupt friendlies, his character regularly interrupts anyone really, so that's where I was trying to direct the theme. I thought of it more like a filibuster than an actual action.

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
Sure sure, and fwiw, I've watched wrestling since '98, though I usually just keep up through podcasts and news sites the last few years and watch clips here and there due to it getting worse over the years, so I'm quite familiar with all of that stuff.
Just more suggesting that although the Rock cuts people off with his catch phrase and such, would it actually be able to produce such a powerful effect to shut someone's turn down completely, essentially? It fits the name/phrase for sure, but I feel that's well beyond his actual capability in combat terms. In the middle of a match he's not spouting his one liner at his opponent, causing them to stop in their tracks, for example, he's using them to mock his opponent during a promo back and forth. So using it more to taunt his opponent, in this case, makes more sense. |

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
I like the change to make them decide which one to forego. It should play well with One on One. If they decide to stay and attack, they are losing dice if adjacent to him, so that is more like a taunt. It doesn't shut them down completely.

Sledge Hammer looks good, I like the once per round. Like there's a ref that's only looking the other way a third of the time XD.

Re: Out-there Heaven (Movie, TV, and Video Game Characters)
I think you could arguably get away with 4 life on them, they are (mostly) really exceptional athletes. But I appreciate the fact that they are pretty low attack and defense.
Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) The correct way to add C3G playtests to posts. My favorite day EVER on heroscapers.
