That's all Theoryscape, of course, but it's my reason for concern. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Batman ('66) (Design)
If he can always choose any glyphs I do not see the point of this version.
The Lawman synergy? Could that not just be wrapped into a glyph? |

Re: The Book of Batman ('66) (Design)
What if he had to pick a goofy glyph and could then pick freely?

Re: The Book of Batman ('66) (Design)
A new category of glyphs might be in order: Bat-Gadgets.

Re: The Book of Batman ('66) (Design)
The reason to draft him is because, hopefully, he's a cheaper Batman with a whole different set of synergies that goes POW! on the bad guys. That's the fun!
Like I suggested earlier, if we wanted to mock up some other goofy gadgets (I know LO already has some) and give them a stronger mode when a Valiant Crime Fighter uses them, like the Missile Jammer already does, that would softly encourage their use without forcing anything on the player. Re: The Book of Batman ('66) (Design)
Power name: Bat Utility Belt 3.
Edit: I can see the points of both sides here, but lean a bit towards the "what's the point of this really" if in practice only theme nerds use his goofy glyphs in lieu of the more standard ones. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Batman ('66) (Design)
Maybe "point of it" isn't the right way to phrase it. I mean how is this guy really distinct from other Batmen. Maybe the theme evoked by power names is enough to make him feel like Batman '66 rather than the Batman in the mainstream DCU though.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Batman ('66) (Design)
Honestly, he is clearly different. He's a lot weaker, Pow! is a very different and very goofy attack power - I reckon if he weren't called Batman there'd be no question about him being a very different character. He's not the same Batman you know.

Re: The Book of Batman ('66) (Design)
Pow! is thematically goofy, but mechanically it's not that goofy. Mechanically it basically guarantees you'll never fail an attack, which is pretty darn useful.

Re: The Book of Batman ('66) (Design)
Yeah, Pow! is pretty good. Never having 0 hits at the very least requires your opponent to consistently have 1 block.
