If by head count, I'm assuming you mean counting people who plan on going, and if so, not yet. Maybe give it a week.

It's always nice to hear someone else is playing games on them and at least finding them challenging.
The Spring Thaw map was my favorite of the two. The close-together icebergs and the snow-covered terrain made for fascinating battles. Gaining height required trudging through snow; frozen stream made it further advantageous. It was quite fun.

The Forgotten Highway map was quite enjoyable. It was interesting to see how quickly the faster ground-units could close in with the road tiles making up the focal point of the map. Really forced some adjustments, and made for some great battles.

I think this week we are going to give the other maps a shot- I am looking forward to trying the Volcano Rim map! I always enjoy the opportunity to drop (with the Wyverns) or throw (with Jotun) an expensive character into the magma...

What are you people still doing here? Don't you know Heroscape has been discontinued? Anyway...my take on Sam Brown is printed card, correct sculpt, any paint job. I am however happy to play by whatever decision is made.

I'm not sure if mecha kid 2 will be with me because he is running a 5K on game day morning. Don't know when that will end yet but will bring him if he is available. Also don't know how competitive I will be because I really just want to try out some of my newer dudes.

Same here, Mecha frog. I have finished the NeGokSa trophy and will award it to you if your son can't make it.

Discon...what? OH, so THAT's why a new ROTV set costs $80 on eBay...

...Sheesh, wish I had known sooner; I could have avoided THIS expensive addiction and kept with my old one: eating endangered Condor eggs. At least I could consistently find the eggs at the wildlife preserve... and fighting off giant furious condors involves just about as much strategy as Heroscape.

Hey W_E what is your stance on the Wyvern-lava-dip? Do you have to roll before or after the talon-grabbed figure?

Re: 3/26 Indianapolis, IN tournament! Vote for your favorit

Per a reputable source (Taeblewalker):
The Wyvern has been ruled to be able to give someone a lava bath, even though the strict wording of the card implies otherwise. This is an official ruling. The Wyvern need not survive with a 20 for you to place the figure.

Tried to find more, but I think this is sufficient.

I'm just sayin.

Re: 3/26 Indianapolis, IN tournament! Vote for your favorit

Mecha was just quipping, he's a die-hard heroscaper like I am. This just goes to show, the game won't die. There seem to be more people interested in playing now then there was before it cancelled. There are still people getting together to play risk and that game never had an expansion (sort of). Remember, voting ends on Saturday!!!!!!!

I'm just sayin.
