Re: The Book of Squirrel Girl (Design Phase)
What I posted above was an idea for a different take on the squirrel power that Incorporated a bunch of ideas
The actual current working draft is still what Johnny has in the SP, didn't mean to cause any confusion. |

Re: The Book of Squirrel Girl (Design Phase)
So, if you have 3 markers, you attack once and roll 1 die, removing a marker for a skull.
You then attack again and roll 2 dice. You would only be able to attack a third time if you have not rolled any skulls(0/3) to remove a marker and then roll 3 dice. Do I got that right? |

If it's meant to be a single roll at the end, I like it. If it's meant to be a roll for each attack, I think it feels clunky, and would look into ways to use the result of the attack roll to determine whether a token is removed or not. |

Re: The Book of Squirrel Girl (Design Phase)
I think the intention was to roll once at the end, but either way creates an interesting risk/reward dynamic.
Like Superheroes and Comics?

Re: The Book of Squirrel Girl (Design Phase)
See, I don't buy the idea of a Squirrel being 3 Attack dice. That's stronger than most humans, on par with a handgun. Even a single die feels a bit much, but that's sort of our baseline.

I was assuming that each marker = more than one Squirrel and that it was vaguely abstracted. |

Re: The Book of Squirrel Girl (Design Phase)
Speaking of squirrels being like handguns, what is the Range 6 representing?

Re: The Book of Squirrel Girl (Design Phase)
Yeah, generally Squirrel Girl points at someone from afar and attacks. The Range could really be anything, 6 just seemed balanced enough for me.
And yeah, I guess we could abstract it. Stuck in my old mode of thinking, I guess. I'm pretty strongly against the idea of possibly burning markers (which seems needlessly finnicky to me - you get them, you spend them, why complicate things?) and would also like to keep the higher cap if at all possible. But if I'm not against setting one of the two numbers (number of attacks or dice rolled) as static if we think that's more sensible. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!
