Thanks to Hasbro, HMG & volunteers, HS Day a success

17 people in SLC battled three games each, enjoying this groovy game and some great people. (Nice to finally meet some fellow HSers in person.) With cheers to our local volunteer organizer, UtahScott, for organizing and setting up all those maps, and making our cool trophies: a Mr. Burns for the grand winner and Comic Book Guy for the grand loser.

Also cheers for the great SotM prizes from Hasbro, and the tags and gift cert. from Sandra at House Mouse. We had seven boys with dads in addition to a few young men. Thanks to those gracious prizes, as well as some that we dads each brought along, we made sure all the young people went home winning something--plus a couple of us adults.

The Comic Book Guy trophy with the inscription "Worst Tournament Ever"! It was a fun event. Met quixotequest and krai for the first time. A big thanks to UtahScott for putting this together. Another big thanks to Hasbro and Grungebob for the Swarm of the Marro master sets. My son ended up winning one. I met some others that will hopefully be making it to our game days and to our home on the interwebs.

UtahScott, you need to post a picture of the trophies when they are finalized, especially if you get the "Taelord costs too much" on Comic Book Guy's shirt!
