Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Hawkgirl)
Just about as soon as I got Hawkgirl on the battlefield and began using her I started pegging her as Superscape's answer to the Kozuke Samurai - fast but fragile shock troop who can hit multiple times like a truck. You're quite right - just like them, she's a cruise missile, and not too expensive in a Superscape setting either.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Hawkgirl)
Amazing value.
I remember when I started very early testing of Judge Death, she would often wipe out Death's entire army by herself. Brutal. And when she gets hurt, Hawkman gets stronger to take her place. Never did figure out the Hawkmen dance. Always faired better just charging Girl and Man straight in. Never even tried her with stat boosters, that could be really scary. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Hawkgirl)
One thing that would be cool here is to add a link to where the discussion starts for each unit with that unit. Then someone can find it quickly once this thread gets deep.
Great call here. Also look out for @Lazy Orang s articles they are fantastic as well. EDIT: Looks like the other ones already have the link...Hawkgirl goes to her book though. Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Hawkgirl)
I've been having that days unit link to the book, but having it link to the post that started the discussion makes sense. I'll update that. Good idea japes!

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Hawkgirl)
A torpedo in card form is the perfect way to put it!
She's just plain fun. She pairs well with the Thanagarians and Hawkman (Katar-Hol), which helps with the 5 point ending. It was definitely more awkward in the master set, though, so she paired with 5th Precinct a lot early on. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

I'm late on Darkseid, but it could be fun having a Conqueror team-up with Darkseid being brought in as one of Kang (II)'s Reinforcements. |

That sounds nasty.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (The Joker 1)
Heh. First figure we've gotten to that's been reevaluated! When initiative was a 50/50 proposition, he wasn't so bad, but then figures like Oracle came along to make it a lot easier.
He's obviously all about Reorganized Chaos and the ability to mess with your opponent's Order Marker placement. Against an army of solid figures (rock army) where there's no bad Order Marker placement, that's fine. Against something like a Fantastic Four or Professor X army, it can be devastating. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (The Joker 1)
I didn't realize he had been reworked until I made his post! A friend used him fairly often, he just really loved screwing up my Original X-Men.
I like how his new Reorganized Chaos works. Like you said, it can definitely still be monstrous. However, the trade off of having to lose initiative makes it feel like less of a snowball effect. I don't have much insight on Joker since I haven't played him much, let alone his rework version. Are there any insane armies he's particularly effective in? |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (The Joker 1)
Any Insane figure likes Harley Quinn (I) (and Chucky) but there aren't a huge number of Insane synergies out beyond that. I think there was some new stuff in the Web of Venom release from Shriek?
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (The Joker 1)
I'd say reevaluated Joker likes: passive movement, defensive pods, and initiative subtraction.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
