Chapter 10

Drake Alexander rushed through the bushes and trees to find the bottom of the waterfall. When he got to the bottom he saw John, poor John. He was crawling up out of the water. Drake and Samuel rushed over to find him soaking wet.

Take off your clothes John, in this air you'll freeze to death!

John's teeth chattered and he followed instructions. Samuel pulled out a blanket from pack and covered John in it.

You'll be alright. We still have to get over this river.

Drake patted him on the back and rushed down. Using his sword he cut his way through pushes to find another waterfall. He saw that the snow was vanishing the farther he went in that direction. Down the hill, he saw a bridge. It was covered in snow, but it seemed to be melting.

He rushed back up to bring John and Samuel. Syvarris met them on the other side.

You all right!?

He called.

Yeah, he's alright. We are crossing the bridge now.

Drake went first, followed by freezing John, and Samuel. The bridge was made out of wood with nails and screws to hold it together. There was high guards to make sure no one fell off.

Woah!

Samuel lost his balance, but grabbed onto the bridge for support. John called back kiddingly, "Careful, bridge freezes before road surface."

They all made it safely across. Once they did, Syvarris pointed out where they were to go next. "We go down this valley and I believe it is just around there. At least that is what the Dzu-Teh told me." Drake nodded.

The color is so annoying to type and ruins the flow of my mind, probably why I'm reluctant to post. Sorry but I'm going to have to nix it.

Chapter 10 continued...

They travel down the valley and marshland. They reach the flat plains. The grass is green and thick. They travelled through a forest, made camp in the center, and began their adventure once more. John has recovered, as has the rest of them from their cuts and bruises. Although the lot of them are very tired, they press onward. Finally, they come to a structure, a not natural structure. It is between two small grassy mountains, a great wall. There is a gate and battlements on the top. As they squish their way across the marshland they stand to admire the wall. Then, they see guards. Kyrie walk back and forth on the top.

Samuel misses a step and finds his whole leg into the marshy water. "Yuck," he exclaims. As he takes a closer looks he notices something in the water, a body. Something is sticking out of its chest, an arrow. "Guys, lookie' here!" Syvarris, Drake, and John were too amazed to notice Samuel. After weeks of travel they finally see a stone building.

Suddenly, they hear a Kyrie from the wall call out, "Intruders! Humans!" In almost an instant, at least a dozen Kyrie arches appear over the battlements with crossbows ready to fire. The Elites were toosurprised to react. Syvarris gasps, "Oh..."

"Get behind me!" yells Drake. He pulls out his sword of Thorian as the party crowds behind Drake and crouches down.

When the archers see the weapon, they fire.Flying at least a hundred miles per hour the arrows shoot towards Drake with astounding accuracy. The sword seemed to glow in the sunlight. In a faster-than-light motion Drake's hands swirve about him, cutting down the arrows with unbelievable reflexes. The blacksmith Thorian holds many surprises in his work. As all the arrows seem to disappear, Drake seems out of breath. The Kyrie archers above seem thoroughly puzzled.

Syvarris cups his hands and calls to them, "We come in peace! We wish to seek friendship!" The gates of the wall slowly open and an almost blinding light shines through. Marching Kyrie reveal themselves and before they have chance to react, forcably remove the party's weapons and escort them inside the wall.

Have the banished guys demand for proof of peace, and give the good guys a hard time (like Vydar and Jandar in book 1).

The Marro should start moving towards the forbidden area to crush the people there as well!

use the mohican River tribe!!! Start effective guerilla warfare(biowarfare!!!!) Maybe a disease that the MRT deliver, which affects the rest of the book. Then use espionage as well.

Chapter 11

The room is dark. Ga-Ne-Vu sits on his throne with his palm over his face, slouching on the high chair. He is bored. Without war, without blood, he has nothing to live for. In his boredom, he calls the pitiful Marro slave forth. "Slave!"A short skinny Marro comes rushing toward him. "What time be it?"

The slave bows then turns right around and runs to the door. The enormous wooden door is laden with blue silk and curtains on the top. The Marro struggles to push it open, but when he does he wastes no time and runs down the steps. He races to the bottom then stares up at the bright sky. The sun is directly overhead, big and orange. He must use his hand to guard against the glare.

Quickly, the slave turns around and runs back up the stairs. He closes the door behind him once he enters the palace. It is dark once more. He runs up to Ga-Ne-Vu and stands on one knee as he looks up at him. "Two hours past noon, my lord."

"Good. Ne-Gok-Sa shall be arriving in an hour or two. Keep watch for him." The Marro slave gets up and rushes around the corner to a different room in the palace.

Ga-Ne-Vu finally decides to get up. He stretches a big stretch, revealing his long arms. Then he trots down. "Oh slave!" Ga-Ne-Vu calls in a stern voice. Out of nowhere it seems a slave appears. Not the same one, this one is pleasently plump which is uncommon for a Marro, let alone a slave. "Prepare the arena, get the gladiators ready."

Ga-Ne-Vu marches outside to see the sun for himself. It is big. Ga-Ne-Vu slowly walks down the stares and around the corner. He starts toward this large round building. He takes him five minutes to reach it. There are arches lining the entrance and steps into the center. It was a stadium filled with sand. The field was about 20 meters long and 10 wide. A couple Marro here and there sit on the stands looking down as Ga-Ne-Vu enters the ring.

Then, from a doorway on the opposite side of the stadium two Marro bring out a human in handcuffs. Three Marro hold loaded guns pointing at the human as the two holding him bring him to the center. The human wears a helmet, what looks like a bucket and only a loin cloth. Very muscular looking. The Marro throw him down on the ground and then unlock the handcuffs. Another Marro comes running out of the doorway like he's late. He carries a sword and sheild which he throws next to the human. Then all the Marros jog away back through the door. The human gets up and stares through his helmet at Ga-Ne-Vu who stands opposite him in the center of the field. The human picks up the sword and sheild, ready for battle.

"Crixus will slay you vile Marro," shouts the human, named Crixus. Crixus charges at Ga-Ne-Vu, sword over his head. As he swings, Ga-Ne-Vu side-steps to avoid it. Ga-Ne-Vu swings his fist at Crixus, who blocks it with his small sheild. Ga-Ne-Vu's fist leaves a tiny imprint. Crixus swings his sword from the side while Ga-Ne-Vu bends backwards to keep it from slashing him. Crixus is panting and Ga-Ne-Vu breaths in deeply. The start to circle each other waiting for one of them to make a move. Ga-Ne-Vu swings a fake punch on the left and Crixus instantly moves his sheild towards it. This leaves his head open as Ga-Ne-Vu jabs from the left, hitting Crixus in the chin. Ga-Ne-Vu slowly backs away avoiding Crixus' sword. The punch may have hurt the Marro more than the human with his strong helmet on. Crixus lunges forward once more, this time pointing the sword outward. Once again, Ga-Ne-Vu side-steps to avoid it. This gives him the chance to kick away the sheild. He flies out of Crixus hand. The gladiator now holds the sword with two hands.

"Use this!" A Marro in the crowd tosses Ga-Ne-Vu a drone spear. He catches it just in time to guard himself from Crixus' next thrust towards him. They seperate and back away slowly. Ga-Ne-Vu shows off by spinning the spear clockwise. It makes it harder to see Ga-Ne-Vu and certainly harder to strike. Crixus slashes over head, blocked again by Ga-Ne-Vu. He holds the spear at both ends, using the bony middle to defend himself. Both of them are wide open. Crixus' legs are too short for him to make a move without falling over. Ga-Ne-Vu instead kicks him in the stomach and he falls over onto his back, holding the sword in his right hand.

Ga-Ne-Vu spits. "Get up." Crixus seems angry now and leaps to his feet. Wildly he swings the sword back and forth, clashing each time with the spear. He slashes at the side, at the top, towards his feet, and overhead. Crixus attempts to cut Ga-Ne-Vu in half by raising his spear high. Instead of trying to block it, Ga-Ne-Vu takes advantage of the moment by going straight for the chest. He points the spear forward and pushes Crixus over, spear deep into his heart. The sword goes flying behind him and blood dripples out of the helmet, not to mention his chest. The crowd cheers as Crixus dies. Blood is spewed out of his body. Ga-Ne-Vu pulls the spear out of him and throws it to the ground as he walks away.

It is over. He is bored again.
