Im seeing all these discussions about the best units and I don't see anyone mention Drake. Im not saying that hes the best but hes gotta get some consideration as one of the best. With an attack of 6 theres not many who have a higher attack. His defense is pretty low at 3 but Thorian Speed kind of makes up for it.

I know every time I pick Drake I tear through armies with him

I just wanted everyones thoughts about him.

I don't really use him much personally. But I know he travels a lot!

No doubt, drake is great (what do you mean? I'm not biased) but there has been such a long time to talk about him that he's kinda an old subject. Until your opponet busts out some ranged special and you get pwnd. But for now, most would prefer to talk about how much Spartie sucks and how the EI have no staying power and all other sorts of things.

I agree that Sgt Drake is a great unit. I like to keep him within sight of Raelin, or Thorgrim by his side, but with 6 attack he can usually handle himself pretty well. Five life is nothing to sneeze at either. I'm sure will see a lot more on the good Sergeant once SoTM comes out, and we can ooh and ahh at the re-work.

Sergeant Drake doesn't last long in melee because of his three defense. He's great at taking out ranged figures, but is not good against other melee figures.

He is a great castle siege engine because he can grapple up and take out who ever is waiting up there to shoot people. He is immune to most attacks from the battlements because most ranged attackers dont have special attacks (that people like to use for castles anyhow).

I'm with Tiberius on this one. Drake isn't my first pick for most games but if there is a castle on the board you can guarantee that he is going to be picked.

i use drake to guard the gate because he can kill any enemy that is capable of destroying the door

i always use this guy for imtimadtion to scare back decent units and get weaker units back up front for drake to kill
