I actually think dropping the last name altogether is a bit too far as breach of precedent, but it looks like we have majority in favor, and it does have its advantages. Unless there are strenuous objections that seems like the way to go.

On the original question, japes covinced me that the second option made more sense for the long term of the project.
As far as this development, I think people are smart enough to figure out that Guy Gardner is the Guy mentioned in the power text on his card.
My only question is this: is it too customy?

Did they only put Johnny in every occurrence on the card? The others lost titles; "the Kyrie" is no one's last name.

Yeah, trying to figure out a consistent way to do this is probably the most "customy" part.

I went ahead and updated all of the On Deck Runaways with just their first names in power text, since everyone seemed to prefer that direction. Admittedly it does seem to read better.

Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.

Before you update anything, I've yet to make my EPB checks on the Runaways. Might be best to wait just to make sure nothing else comes up there.
