Re: The Book of Mars T-Rex (Initial Playtest)
You could go with Joyce Williams Elementary School.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Mars T-Rex (Initial Playtest)
They're fairly similar. Lost Land (to my knowledge) is more of a hodge podge collection of eras. Faraway is specifically things that have essentially gotten "lost in time."
Its basically 2 ways to same the same thing. I'd probably encourage going Faraway slightly more, as it seems the direction for Valiant designs will be modern era, save for people like the Gold Key Three (Magnus, Turok, Solar) who don't exist modernly. Though by that logic, if you'd rather feel a connection between them and Turok, go Lost Land. Like I said, Savage's dino adventures aren't in the Faraway. |

Re: The Book of Mars T-Rex (Initial Playtest)
It's the school in Meet the Robinsons. They have a t-rex in that movie called Tiny. Seemed apropos if you were looking for another setting.

Re: The Book of Lost Land T-Rex (Re-Breather)
I like it. I’d still like to see a drop in life (as L_O mentioned) to show he’s not quite grown in to his full adult form yet. So like 6 life. He’s a big mean son-of-a-gun who bites hard hasn’t yet learned to hold back and make sure he’s not walking into a trap. And he’s a bit dumb, due to lack of experience. Checks all the theme boxes for me.

I'd actually stay at 7 life.

Re: The Book of Lost Land T-Rex (Re-Breather)
Not trying to upend the apple cart here, but since Beast Boy T-Rex (2 life) and B&C&T&R (1 life) keep getting pointed out as a precedent, shouldn't we be going lower life here as well? Trying to keep their points low is impacted by their ability to absorb auto-wounding powers. At 7 life they would be pretty sturdy vs. any kind of unblockable attack die or d20 for 1 or 2W powers.

Re: The Book of Lost Land T-Rex (Re-Breather)
Those two precedents are situational, though - Beast Boy forms are all low Life, because they're intended to be temporary parts of a "main" Beast Boy's overall suite of transformations. Our other Dinosaurs (Satanus and Old Lace) have had high Life as their aesthetic and I'd stick with that here.
