Wyvern- What's your army idea?



So, the Spiders finally got another Predator, and an uncommon one at that.

Any ideas?

Here's a basic one:

3x Wyvern 300
5x Fyorlag Spiders 500

Hooray! Spiders don't suck anymore!

Spiders+Wyvern make a great second round unit. Let your opponent set up, then unleash the Aquilla. You can yank rats off of glyphs and slide in the spiders, yank Raelin off her perch, and sundry other good stuff.

Obvious army:

200 Wyvern x2
80 Spiders x2
240 Stingers x4
520, 22 hexes

Slow-roll in round 1, disrupt your opponent's position in round 2, unleash the stingers in round 3.

Spiders only suck if you only have one squad of them.

Anyway, as for the wyvern, I think he's gonna end up as theracus, except 60 points more and doesn't feel like he is made of glass.

Oooooh man, you can bond with the wyvern, drop an enemy in a pile of spiders, and then web him! So great. I wonder if there is a way to get them to work well with THE CLAW?

Wyvern x2 - 200
Major X17 - 300
Spiders x2 - 380
Airborne Elite - 490

Lots of death from above, and some nasty traps down below. Might be fun to play, at least.

An enemy-toting Theracus, as the wyvern can only pick up an opponent's figures.

Othkurik = 140
Wyvern X3 = 440
Rats X 1 = 480

Rats tie up frontline opponents. The Wyverns can target key enemy figures; picking them up and dropping them within range of Othkurik's acid. When push comes to shove, the wyverns can deal out death as needed.

Addition (kudos to padlock's army idea):
By talon grabbing opponents and dropping them adjacent to Mohicans, the Wyverns can be a great way to ensure that Brave Arrow gets a free turn via War Cry.

Wyvern x 2 = 200
Venoc Warlord = 320
Mohicans X 2 = 460
Brave Arrow = 510
Spiders X 2 = 590

But how is that useful? If an opponent knows you will try to move his figure, he will just keep the figures in a tight group, because the wyvern still takes engagement hits.

Edit: Never mind. I looked at the card closer and noticed he can pick up figures in mid flight. The thing I said is probably the reason they did that.

I'm assuming engagement strike takes effect when a Wyvern drops a figure, so how about:

Wyvern x 2 200

Nakitas - 400

Not while he is flying. When he takes off, he does. If he can swing by your unit and come back, it doesn't matter how tightly grouped your guys are.

Anyway, forcing you to group your units could be useful in a different way: explosions!
