Here in Germany with OEAO and Mrs. Dragon Ruler, visiting daughter of DR and Son-in-Law.
Have played 8 of the 12 Ticket to Ride Legacy game/scenarios so far. Super tense and very well done. No-one knows who is ahead and each game plays differently. I will leave a full wrap up report to OEAO, but this game is worth the price and is simply outstanding. There is a conversion kit/rule book to be used after the legacy is finished to convert to a stand alone ticket to ride game.
Also playing numerous Smash Up 3 player games (snake draft using 10 factions) with OEAO and my son-in-law. This is our favorite 3 player game. Both OEAO and SIL are very good and games are tight. This results in the testing of many German and Belgian beers.
Not a bad way to spend the Christmas holidays.

Firefly The Game George K., the nationally recognized FTG gamer who has a major presence on the BGG Forum, is having some of his custom additions to the game published in the Kickstarter for the not yet released 10th Anniversary Edition. He is making his annual pilgrimmage here today to run a game using one of the new scenarios no one has seen yet. I love to let him run the game, even though he almost always wins!

Ventura (FFG/Stratelibri 2011, 2-4 Players) Taeblewalker just gifted this unopened copy to me for my Christmas Eve birthday. I'd picked it out from one of his game shelves when staying in his guest room for the holidays! It requires a bit of tweaking according to BGG posters, but looks like it could be a lot of fun. This weekend I'll do some solitaire plays to find the best rules mix to use with live opponents next month.

This is a war and resources management design by Italians on the interesting and rarely covered Italian Renaissance period. I checked it out on BGG, and then spent early Christmas morning like a kid opening up presents, prepping the game physically and then planning out what I'd choose to adopt or design to play the game with a few minor changes.

Other games I've played on this era have included:

Machiavelli (a second generation version of Diplomacy we played to death)
Condotierri (a simple card game)
Princes of the Renaissance (by Martin Wallace)
Leonardo (beautiful minis at a convention, with both historical military units and Da Vinci's fanciful war machines)
