Re: The Book of Cyber-Conversion Unit (Breathing)
NAME = CYBER-CONVERSION UNIT
UNIQUENESS = UNCOMMON DESTRUCTIBLE OBJECT SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 3 LIFE = 3 DEFENSE = 5 POINTS = 80 HUMAN RESOURCES 14 After taking a turn with an Emotionless Cyborg Army Card you control, you may choose a figure adjacent to one or more Emotionless Cyborgs you control with 2 or fewer Life remaining and roll the 20-sided die, adding 3 to the roll if the chosen figure has no Order Markers on its card. If you roll 14 or higher, place the chosen figure on an empty space on top of this Cyber-Conversion Unit. Figures moved with Human Resources will not take any leaving engagement attacks. After rolling for the Human Resources special power for this Cyber-Conversion Unit, you cannot roll for the Human Resources special power on any other Army Card this player turn. CYBER-CONVERSION At the end of the round, inflict a wound on any figure on top of this Cyber-Conversion Unit. If a figure is destroyed by this special power, you may replace it with a previously destroyed Emotionless Cyborg figure that is the same size. Androids, Emotionless Cyborgs, and Destructible Objects are not affected by Cyber-Conversion. STASIS FIELD Common and Unique figures with 2 or fewer Life remaining that occupy a space on top of Cyber-Conversion Unit cannot move, attack, take turns or use any special powers on their Army Cards. Emotionless Cyborgs and Destructible Objects are not affected by Stasis Field. Last edited by MrNobody; October 8th, 2021 at 02:23 PM. |

Re: The Book of Cyber-Conversion Unit (Breathing)
We're live! Pretty excited for this one, and hoping it'll make the Cybermen feel really dynamic.
One thing I noticed (since I cribbed a lot of the text for the OP from Tickle's Green Battery thread) is that he has the Green Battery listed as a Unique Draftable DO. Definitely want this thing to be Uncommon, and I kind of assumed DOs were by default, but there's not really a way to list that on the current template. |

Re: The Book of Cyber-Conversion Unit (Breathing)
We should probably have a Unique/Common/Uncommon section in the leftbox like we do for VDOs.
Looks like an interesting design. You'll need a "no leaving engagement attacks" line in the first power. |

Re: The Book of Cyber-Conversion Unit (Breathing)
I don’t know these guys at all so can’t comment on theme.
They can teleport people to their conversion unit? Also there’s no way for you to remove a figure captured by them? So if you have a Hal Jordon with 2 life left even with all his barriers (still a huge threat) they can essentially insta-win if they hit their toll? Or am I missing something? |

Re: The Book of Cyber-Conversion Unit (Breathing)
Sure, they can, but it's also just intentionally vague, so you can visualize them bringing people there however you want.

Re: The Book of Cyber-Conversion Unit (Breathing)
It might be fine! But Johnny is 225 points vs 40. Just keep an eye on it! I haven’t played the cybermen, so if it’s a good strategy to have your army only be swarms of them with like 4 Units just to hit those rolls, not sure that’s be super fun.

Re: The Book of Cyber-Conversion Unit (Breathing)
Better smash the Conversion Unit then!
Yeah, Stasis Field is pretty powerful. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up in cost. Since they're uncommon, you can just put the entire enemy army in stasis once they're all wounded enough. The 2 Life part is the saving grace. For clarity since we don't have pictures of it yet on here, only one figure fits on it, yes? Edit: Ah, you already put it in the R&C C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Cyber-Conversion Unit (VOTE for Initial)
Yeah, here's what the thing looks like;
Definitely willing to make changes, either by reducing the "2 life remaining" down to "1 life remaining" or by doubling the cost. One final thing - my intention with Human Resources was that you roll the D20 once every turn, no matter how many Units you have. How could we make that clear? Other than that minor point, I'm pretty happy, so I'd like to call a VOTE for Initial Playtesting! |
