We ran a 5-man FFA game tonight on a custom map. Each player was given 1,000 points to work with, including a 20 point over/under buffer.

Game Summary:

Bane sent out his minions to do his bidding, namely Poison Ivy and Harley doing most of the work. The Mutant Outcasts podded up and creeped their way out of their base, Jason even creepier-ly(?). Flash Wally zoomed around dishing out unblockables. Sentry approached. Spider-Man, Spider-Ham, and Howard swung their way into the fray.

Ivy started dishing out wounds to many as she was in her element, literally, surrounded by trees and bushes to use for Plant Animation. Naturally, this made her a bit of a target, so Spider-Man and Magneto started firing off shots, and Flash started zooming around her, while Zatanna and Harley tried to help her stay alive.

Harley ate some wounds from leaving engagements, then lobbed a Smilex Bomb onto Soundwarp's entire army, killing Magneto, and sending the rest of his team into surrender from the devastation.

Ivy continued to dish out auto-wounds while Zatanna's Pick a Number would occasionally pop up for an additional wound, notably dealing several unblockable hits to Sentry, chipping away at his life, ultimately opening up a path to his demise. Ivy, having served her purpose, was then ousted to great relief from the remaining players.

Croc made his way over to Martian Manhunter, only to be completely Martian Manhandled into submission. Moon Knight dropped in with Ms. Marvel to pick up the pieces where Sentry faltered. Moon Knight became the new Ivy, dishing out auto-wounds to put everyone on notice.

Fate started twisting things at his whim, to manipulate the battle into his team's favor. Harley was taken out amidst all the chaos, and Martian Manhunter advanced into the swarm of enemies.

The remaining figures on each team advanced into the battle, one by one being taken down until the final moments seeing Arkham's Bane and Zatanna left against Nobody's Ms. Marvel and tcglkn's Spider-Ham and Howard the Duck.

With 2 of the 3 near death, Bane started the round going all in, taking one more hit to give it everything he has. Unfortunately for him, Zatanna was taken out, so it was now or never. Ms. Marvel was taken out by Spider-Ham, and Bane broke Spider-Ham. With Howard being the only one left in Bane's path...the round is over. Bane is now destroyed due to overdosing on Venom. Howard remains, a mere 5 spaces away from Bane, unscathed, still taking his smoke break, never having done a thing.

Winner: tcglkn, with Howard the Duck unwounded.

Game Awards:

Hero: Poison Ivy and Howard the Duck
Ivy wounding several figures was quite impressive. She definitely benefitted from the map being filled with jungle pieces and littered with multiple opponents' armies within range.

On the flip side, you have to admire a low point figure pulling out a victory by simply existing. It's worth pointing out, Howard did manage to ignore several wounds along the way, be it from Ivy, and even one from Bane that saved his feathers from a follow up attack that could have done him in earlier in the game.

Zero: Sentry
He fell flat here, succumbing to the auto-wounding capabilities of Ivy, Zatanna, and Flash. As the most expensive figure by far in the match, to deal no damage was a big disappointment in this showing.

Splash Page Moment: Harley Quinn blows the Mutants into smithereens
Harley saw an opportunity to make an entire enemy team go boom. She made good on that opportunity. It was an explosion that would make even Mr. J blush.
