Well, sort of; all Mandalorian helmets (and the clone/stormtrooper helmets based on them) look pretty similar. Jarek's helmet is actually probably less iconic the more of a SW fan you are because of it.

I'm fine with using both the Super Battle Droids and Hawkman miniatures, even though I recognize both easily. But I would not like using Bossk or Martian Manhunter for VC. My opinion is that it makes a difference if the miniatures are being used for a pre-existing faction or not. Deathborg and Kyrie miniatures are hard to find in high enough quantities, so using recognizable characters is alright in that instance.
