I think the Flash could really work - get Neil Patrick Harris on the phone, make it a relatively down-to-Earth story, redesign the costume a bit... I've always thought super speed has the most potential as far as visually interesting powers go.

But you really need solid dialogue, direction, and acting. Look at Iron Man - really cookie cutter plot, but the visuals were great (both CG-wise and in the general direction of the film), the dialogue was brilliant and RDJ was born for the role. Then compare that to Green Lantern... the movie just looked silly and Ryan Reynolds has the charisma of a wet paper bag.

If they want to make a Justice League movie they have to sell us on the Flash - they need to make these second-string characters relevant, and they've already missed the boat on Green Lantern. If they can succeed with Flash they can probably sell audiences on more ridiculous characters like Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, and... dare I say it, Aquaman.

If they approached Aquaman in the type of epic son of two worlds with a struggle for the crown in play angle they went with for Thor, they could pull it off well.

I really don't see Warner Bros. being successful with a Justice League movie. While I think it would be an interested movie after they've formed a team, it's a much harder team to pull together.

Unlike the Avengers and X-Men, there is no central character to build a team around. Those movies relied upon Nick Fury and Charles Xavier to pull the team element together. Without that, characters are going to have to spend too much time meeting each other.

Maybe you could have Batman and Superman going around to recruit heroes, but it doesn't seem like they'd need help.

The other problem is that the Justice League version of the characters aren't the iconic versions. Batman, Superman and the Flash are all primarily solo characters. For the Marvel movies, they took a team and split them up into individual movies. It would be really hard to recreate that effect using characters more defined by their non-team books.

So I've been messing around with painting, starting with Handful of Heroes figures I got.

There was a cool Spidey on a gargoyle figure I really liked, so I painted it.


The biggest problem with this figure is that it has no application in 'Scape. Or does it?



Not quite finished (needs to be glued on). The paint job actually looks much closer to the ruin's in real life without a bright flash light on it.

Now Spidey can lurk in all my games! (At least, all those with the warehouse ruin!)

Good call Margloth. I thought about cutting Spidey off and just using the gargoyles but I prefer your solution. Well done.
