LEVIATHAN RISING
At the start of the game, you may choose up to 3 Unique Crime Lord and Mastermind figures you control to be Talia's Underbosses and place a red, white or black Underboss Marker on each of cards. You may then choose up to 9 Criminal or Assassin Squads you control. You may place up to 3 red, 3 white and 3 black Underling Markers on their cards, to a maximum of one marker per card. After taking a turn with one of Talia's Underbosses, you may take a turn with up to 2 Squads with a colour corresponding Underling Marker, and you may not take any further additional turns.

LEVIATHAN'S HEAD
After revealing an Order Marker on this card, instead of taking a turn with Talia Al Ghul, you may instead reveal an X Order Marker on this card to take a turn with up to 2 of Talia's Underbosses that you control. Once per round, if one of Talia's Underbosses is destroyed, you may move any Order Markers on its card to another of Talia's Underbosses.

SWORDPLAY
If Talia al Ghul attacks an adjacent figure with her normal attack and at least one skull is rolled, she may attack an adjacent figure again. She may continue attacking adjacent figures, rolling 1 fewer attack die for each subsequent attack, until you fail to roll a skull.

A point to note: The intent here is for Lieviathan's Head to be able to trigger 2 Underbosses, themselves each triggering 2 squads- but I'm unsure if the "and you may not take any further additional turns." language in Leviathan Rising precludes that from even being possible


Nyeh, scrap that: being able to active 2 Underbosses and 2 Squads is enough.

So 3 turns per OM normally but once per round you get 4 turns per OM? That’s a lot. And it would take a massive army to get Talia, 3 bosses, and 9 squads in there for her full potential.

It can be tweaked- but Leviathan is meant to be pretty big (I mean... it's in the name)

I definitely designed her with the intent of playing with a large army

A lot to chew on there.

I like the stab at the hierarchy, but it might feel a little more organic to leverage the existing connective tissue between Crime Lords/Masterminds and various criminal squads, rather than having her force her own bonding on all the Crime Lords.

Not sure exactly what that looks like yet, just a thought.

I like the leftbox switch to Ruthless Mastermind thematically. It's worth considering what that'll do for her in terms of the Cosmic Cube and HYDRA, though, and whether that's desirable. A personality swap could take care of that issue if it is one.

I'm with Ronin on this one. It's a lot of mechanics and moving parts to create an interwoven network for a faction that already has a pretty complex, preexisting interwoven network. So it seems like we could use a sniper rifle instead of a grenade launcher here and get a similar effect (i.e. lighter mechanical touch from her that leverages the existing synergies).

Do we have a synergy web anywhere we can consult for help?

I think the moral is not to add more squads, it's maybe to lower how many squads are needed?
