The moam commentary

Welcome to the moam commentary. The stuff I will upload on this thread are the "making of" pictures I took during (mostly) my work on the scapemas carol. I had an album with these on HSHQ, so you have probably seen them allready but I will also upload some new stuff from season two. I hope it has some entertaining value and should you have any questions on taking pics - I'll gladly answer them here (as far as I'm able to)...

Before the scapemas carol, there was very little material for a making of except for the the pic of the early stage Krugetta.

This is a typical example of a "pre-photoshop-era" trick. I could only work with angle tricks and special built maps to cover parts of figures and stuff.

The scapemas carol actually started as a different idea: I had in mind to take just one pic specially for christmas - sort of a christmas map with decorated trees and stuff...

The making of Santa Krug: the modelling paste used for this must be put in the oven or else it stays soft. I did not wanted to risk Krug so I did not bake him. All the time from November to January, I had to handle Krug extremely carefully.
When I was finished with the ROTM, I was asked by a member of this board if I would sell him Krugalf the Grey. I agreed to give the figure to him as a gift but in order to send it to the United States, I had to finally bake him for at least half an hour at aproximately 190° F.
All went well except for the color did change somewhat so I had to repaint part of it.
So, fellow scapers, don't hesitate to put your figs into the oven if you have the urge to do so

Mechanical tricks for Boo - I let him "fly" on wires in Fellowship. In ROTM, his flying was created with photoshop. The only photoshop work in Fellowship is the smoke of the Moose's cigarette.
