Wyvern & Lava
I'm assuming this is legal but I wanted clarification. It says in the rules that flying units can pass over water and lava normally. So assuming you have the movement can a Wyvern land in the lava and bring the figure with it? Of course both will have to hope for a miracle to survive.

Good question. Surely this is legal. It would be odd to grab someone while you were flying, dive bomb with them into the lava, and then as soon as you hit, realize that they're still 5 hexes away.

Yes, it's very odd. But based on my reading of the card, the Wyvern must survive the landing before it can use Talon grab. So, no flying Spartacus into lava on Fire Isles, unless you think you're going to roll a 20.

Movement ends when the Wyvern lands in the lava, just like water.
After movement, two things happen: 1. drag the dude into the lava next to you, and 2. roll for lava damage They seem to happen at the same time. Well so much for legality, now I'm officially split on whether it works or not. I'm leaning towards a no as it seems like you do the lava roll while moving, but lava rules also say you stop movement immediately once you contact a tile so I'm kind of confused either way.

Just land next to the lava and drop the dude into the lava.
But, in the spirit of the question, I think it will work just like "Carry". The Wyvern would need to survive the lava to complete the Talon Grab portion of the show. ~Z |

A lava tile sitting on top of a "ground" tile IS at the same level as the ground tile. It is only a problem if the map builder has put all the lava down in channels.

Just put the Lava tile(s) next to Water/Shadow/Swamp Water tiles. Problem solved.

It doesn't make any sense to be any different than this. The Wyvern flies over the dude to pick him up, then they land in the lava.
