C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE PLAYTEST UNIT: PENNYWISE
Army Test
Map: Underground Catacombs
Units: Team A: Pinhead, Jason V, Freddy K, Pennywise, N'Garai – 1000 Points
Team B: Flash 270, Detective Chimp, Iris West, Hellboy II, Elongated Man – 980 Points
Game Summary
Balloon: Pennywise placed the balloon glyph at a choke point between the opposing teams start zone and the middle of the battlefield. Negation effect did not come into play this game. Flash started out the game by moving the glyph towards the middle of the map.
You'll Float Too: Used in the second round to vacate the start zone once Flash ran off.
It: Pennywise attacked twice this game. On the first attack he rolled all 4 skulls and didn't need to use It to reroll. On the second attack he rolled 2 skulls and chose not to reroll.
Deadlights: Missed once.
After moving the balloon glyph Flash moves in fast and attacks the N'Garai, rolling 4-0, destroying it. Pennywise then attacks Flash, putting one wound on him, but missed the Deadlights, rolling an 18. Jason and Hellboy end up engaged and beat on each other for a while. Using Pinhead to try to take multiple attacks did not work at all this game and is probably the reason for such a poor showing. Pinhead rolled for Denizens of Hell four times, of those four times, he rolled 0 skulls 3 times and rolled 1 skull once, he never rolled 2 or 3 skulls. Jason was destroyed on Turn 2 of Round 2 by Hellboy. It was also extremely hard to use Freddy in this match as my opponent continued to use Flash to move all of his figures as quickly as possible. In essence, if the Slashers lost initiative there really was no chance for Freddy to strike from the dream world, especially with Pinhead dragging everyone down. Pennywise was destroyed on Turn 2 of Round 3.
Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes):
Team B Won: Team B; Iris West 2 Life Remaining, Elongated Man All Life Remaining, Flash 2 Life Remaining, Detective Chimp 2 Life Remaining, Hellboy 3 Life Remaining.

Army Test
Map: Underground Catacombs
Units: Team A: Pinhead, Freddy K, Pennywise, Michael Meyers, Chucky – 1000 Points
Team B: Ravager 210, Ravager 185, Wonder Girl 240, Empress, Deathstroke 275 – 1000 points
Game Summary
Pennywise chose the same space to place the balloon glyph in this game and used it right away in round 1 to move himself and Chucky. The Balloon glyph negatively affected Empress's D20 roll three times. Pennywise was able to place a couple wounds on Empress and was responsible for her destruction. Pinhead was the MVP of this game, instead of missing on his Denizens of Hell power, he consistently hit 2 or 3 skulls and his Hooked Chains Mutilation was on fire as well, placing 9 wounds total and destroying Wonder Girl and Ravager. Pennywise was able to attack and put a wound on Ravager as well. Michael Myers destroyed the other Ravager by rolling two unblockable skulls with The Shape. Deathstroke was able to destroy Pennywise and Michael, but it was too late for him as Michael was able to come back and use The Shape one last time to roll another two unblockable skulls on Deathstroke with Chucky finishing Deathstroke off with Child's Play.
You'll Float Too: Used to place the glyph and move Pennywise and Chucky once.
It: Pennywise attacked three times this game and used it to reroll every time, but was unable to get more than 2 skulls.
Deadlights: Was unable to hit the deadlights as he never rolled all skulls.
Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes):
Team A won: Michael Meyers All Life Remaining (After using One Good Scare), Chucky 1 Life Remaining, Freddy K All Life Remaining.
THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Cost wise, I think he could be brought down a bit. I know an odd number fits the Slashers the best, but at 275 I'm not sure I could justify spending that much on him unless I know for sure that the balloon is going to play heavily in the game. I noticed that if Pennywise has height advantage, to be able to roll for the Deadlights he has to roll 4 skulls instead of 3 which I think detracts from his value and is less thematic as I assume his normal attack of 3 represents the 3 deadlights. I think a change to just requiring him to hit 3 skulls would be welcome.
GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: I also noticed that Pennywise is probably best used by keeping him away from engagements until later in the game, as there is pretty much zero chance of bringing him back with Hellraiser given his enormous life of 13. Given that Hellraiser most likely will never come into play, I thought, and still think that Tormentor is a more thematic Class for him compared to Slasher, which would still allow Pinhead to activate him.
