Spoiler Alert!

Korvac fires down at 16 from ranged height early on, choosing not to engage right away. After putting a few wounds on 16, 16 engaged Korvac and then Korvac kills the android. Goku moves adjacent to Korvac, but is time looped back to his original spot and has to Kamehameha Korvac instead, but is blocked. Goku uses 16’s spirit to take an additional turn and the same thing happens. Korvac then puts 3 wounds on Goku. Goku is again time looped to low ground and is blocked.

Goku finally gets to move adjacent to Korvac, then knocks him to low ground with Meteor Smash (inflicting 2 wounds), then pummels an additional 3 wounds onto him. Gohan puts a 6th wound onto Korvac. Korvac wounds Goku. Goku brings Korvac to 8 wounds. Korvac kills Goku. Piccolo puts a 9th wound on Korvac. Korvac kills Gohan with a single blow.

Piccolo wounds Korvac. Korvac puts 4 wounds onto Piccolo. Piccolo wounds Korvac with special beam cannon. Korvac kills Piccolo.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Korvac (11 wounds) wins.

Time Loop was very handy here. The DBZ dudes could mostly avoid the biggest penalty of Power Drain thanks to their special attacks. Close match!

Spoiler Alert!

Aliens move up staying adjacent to trees or pillars, so that Korvac has to engage them to see them. Korvac one-shots one Drone. Korvac misses a single Time Loop roll, and the Aliens put 5 wounds on Korvac quickly.

Korvac switches tactics, disengaging the Drones to engage the Queen, dealing her 2 wounds and a Siphon marker. Drones bring Korvac to 9 wounds. Korvac uses Cosmic Power Eruption to hit 2 Drones and the Queen (trying to spread those Siphon markers), but he misses all three rolls. Drones put a 10th wound on Korvac. Korvac wounds the Queen and heals a wound at the end of the round.

Korvac again uses Cosmic Power Eruption, wounding one Drone. The Queen is blocked. Korvac puts 3 wounds on the Queen. Drones bring Korvac to 12 wounds. Korvac kills the Queen to end the round, and heals one wound.

Korvac kills a Drone, while the Drones struggle to wound him. Korvac tries to leave 2 engagements and 2/2 skulls are rolled to kill the mighty diety.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Alien Drone x3 (unwounded) win.

Neat strategies here from Korvac, he really wants to wound but not kill figures to spread his Siphon Markers. Which is tricky to do! The Aliens having pseudo-range and autowounds really hurt him.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Fun Event Hero, great addition to our growing list of 1000 pointers. One win and one loss, and both matches felt like they could have gone the other way with some luck in the other direction.

Not a fan of the cut line being a different color than the border. It’s supposed to get cut off so you’re just gonna have a tiny bit of yellow if you cut it poorly, which would just make this card harder to cut out.
