Re: The Book of Captain America (Steve Rogers) (II) (Breathi
NAME = CAPTAIN AMERICA
SECRET IDENTITY = STEVE ROGERS SPECIES = HUMAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = FIGHTER PERSONALITY = PATRIOTIC SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 5 MOVE = 6 RANGE = 5 ATTACK = 4 DEFENSE = 4 POINTS = 220 ADVANCING AVENGERS At the start of the game, choose up to 2 friendly Unique Heroes. Place a white Avenger Marker on their cards. After rolling initiative, immediately move Captain America and any friendly Heroes with an Avenger Marker on their cards up to a total combined number of spaces equal to your roll. Figures cannot exceed the Move number on their cards. STEADFAST SHIELD STRIKER Before attacking with Captain America, you may choose a figure within 5 clear sight spaces of him. Roll 2 combat dice. For each shield rolled, that figure rolls 1 fewer defense die for the remainder of this player turn. After attacking or defending with Captain America, you may move him up to 2 spaces up to 5 levels up or down. Captain America never takes leaving engagement attacks or falling damage. I CAN DO THIS ALL DAY When Captain America would receive enough wounds from a figure to be destroyed, roll 2 combat dice. If you roll at least one shield, he instead takes no damage and, if that figure is within 5 clear sight spaces, it receives a wound. Last edited by Arkham; August 26th, 2021 at 03:34 PM. |

Neat. Dig the direction, cool to see a Cap with Acrobatic Movement. I'd probably err on the side of Soldier for this take, but Agent isn't crazy.

Re: The Book of Captain America (Steve Rogers) (II) (Breathi
Thinking we can probably drop his attack to 5, given the potential double use of Stunning Shield Throw in a turn(shield throw > move > attack > roll at least 1 shield? > shield throw > move), and the defense reduction on top of the wound(s) should be more than enough. Could probably bump it to 12 or higher, with that potential in mind.
Points wise, 220 seems like a good spot. Pretty good army options/variety. Some examples: Cap(220), Black Widow(230), Hulk(450) (900) Cap(220), Falcon(190), Winter Soldier(240), Ms. Marvel(350) (1000) Cap(220), Winter Soldier(240), Iron Man(270), War Machine(270) (1000) Cap(220), Winter Soldier(240), Captain Marvel(370), Beast(170) (1000) Cap(220), Ms. Marvel(350), Thor(430) (1000) Cap(220), Spider-Man(280), Ms, Marvel(350, Moon Knight(150) (1000) Cap(220), Spider-Man(280), Falcon(190), She-Hulk(310) (1000) Cap(220), Black Widow(230), Ms. Marvel(350), Daredevil(200) (1000) Cap(220), Bucky(60), Hawkeye(220), Black Widow(230), Iron Man(270) (1000) Cap(220), Bucky(60), Hawkeye(220), Black Widow(230), War Machine(270) (1000) Cap(220), Hawkeye(220), Spider-Man(280), Wolverine(280) (1000) Cap(220), Black Widow(230), Spider-Man(280), War Machine(270) (1000) Cap(220), Black Widow(230), Spider-Man(280), Iron Man(270) (1000) Cap(220), Winter Soldier(240), Captain Marvel(370), War Machine(270) (1100) Cap(220), Winter Soldier(240), Captain Marvel(370), Iron Man(270) (1100) Cap(220), She-Hulk(310), Ms. Marvel(350), Hawkeye(220) (1100) Cap(220), Hulk(450), Winter Soldier(240), Falcon(190) (1100) Cap(220), Ms. Marvel(350), Scarlet Witch(255), War Machine(270), Spell(5) (1100) Cap(220), Falcon(190), Winter Soldier(240), Ms. Marvel(350), Daredevil(200) (1200) Cap(220), Ms. Marvel(350), Iron Man Hulkbuster(350), Spider-Man(280) (1200) |

Re: The Book of Captain America (Steve Rogers) (II) (Breathi
Yeah, I'd consider lower stats for a more acrobatic Cap. If it weren't for the high life and what a pain that power is, I'd endorse Acrobatic Maneuver, but probably best we just don't use that power again, and definitely not on anyone with life higher than 4.
![]() As such, I can see keeping 6 Defense to rep the shield, but I like this one feeling more fast and agile than tanky like the current one. Power interactions are cool. ![]() C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Captain America (Steve Rogers) (II) (Breathi
Like I said on Discord, I don't immediately buy Agent, but if Ronin says it makes sense for the character at certain points I believe him.
Not sure about 220, since we already have both a Cap and an Avenger Hub at that price point. |

Re: The Book of Captain America (Steve Rogers) (II) (Breathi
Don’t personally really count Hasbro Cap, and he’s not taking Hawkeye’s place, but he’d be adding several options including Hawkeye.
If someone wants to break down other point options and the armies that could be enabled from them, I’m all ears. Going above 240 seems risky given how much of a staple Cap (I) already is in the faction. |

Re: The Book of Captain America (Steve Rogers) (II) (Breathi
IMO I think Hasbro Cap will count a lot more once we finish the Hasbro remakes, and he's officially "part of our library."
210 would probably be my suggestion. That makes him a block (that ends in either -50 or -00) with the following thematic units; Dum Dum Dugan (90) Sharon Carter (90) Hank Pym (90) Falcon I (140) Falcon II (190) Yellowjacket II (190) Jack Flag (190) Phil Coulson (190) Hasbro Iron Man (240) Winter Soldier I (240) Winter Soldier II (240) Uncle Sam (240) Nebula (240) Agent Venom (240) Thing II (340) Thorbuster Iron Man (440) Some of those are more/less effective depending on what class we give him him, but it seems like a lot of good pulls for the character. 220 hardly seems like the end of the world either, just feels like we already have a few things in that slot. |

Re: The Book of Captain America (Steve Rogers) (II) (Breathi
Personally, I put more importance into the end result, which is how many thematic 900/1000/1100/1200 point effective armies can we make from this point value, rather than him + 1 other person creating a block.
Granted, it'd be nice to do both if possible, but the former definitely carries more tangible weight in the bigger picture, especially since we already have so many point values accounted for. So if there's a lot of nice full armies that can be gained from 210, that'd help sell it for me. |

Re: The Book of Captain America (Steve Rogers) (II) (Breathi
Ooh love it! Obviously Cap 1 throws a big shadow over any future Caps, but he's very different, in a good way. Agent distances him even further, but I always love Cap as a soldier, so either way.

Re: The Book of Captain America (Steve Rogers) (II) (Breathi
Interesting use of the initiative roll result there. A little concerned about the fun factor if he can use shield throw at the start of every turn no matter what the results of initiative are. You are the opponent, you win initiative, and Cap kills or stuns the figure you have OM1 on. Pretty much don't want to play with you anymore after that happens a few times.
