Re: The Book of Firelord - Vote for Public Playtesting
C3G PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE TEST UNIT Firelord ___________________________________________________________ Army Test 1 Map: Conflict Chernobyl Units: Firelord(400), Spider-Man(Avenger)(280), Hawkeye(220) (900) vs. Professor X(220), Phoenix(230), Iceman(150), Gorgon(300) (900)
Spoiler Alert!
___________________________________________________________ Army Test 2 Map: Conflict Chernobyl Units: Firelord(400), Ms. Marvel(350), Quicksilver(240) (990) vs. Luke Cage(190), Iron Fist(260), Moon Knight(150), Daredevil(160), Shang-Chi(230) (990)
Spoiler Alert!
___________________________________________________________ THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: He's solid on offense. Defensively he can struggle a bit going up against big hitters or those with multi activations. I'd say 400 is fairly reasonable, with a potential bump to 7 Life if he's feeling a little weak? |

Sounds good.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

FIRELORD Version Tested
Spoiler Alert!
-------------------- Army Test IMap: City Park Firelord(400) Silver Surfer(400) (800) Wrecker(230) Thunderball(190) Piledriver(190) Bulldozer(190) (800)
Spoiler Alert!
-------------------- Army Test IIMap: City Park Firelord (400) Galactus II(1000) (1400) Silver Surfer(400) Mister Fantastic(235) Invisible Woman(215) The Thing(325) Human Torch(225) (1400)
Spoiler Alert!
THOUGHTS ON THE TEST UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: I feel Firelord seems pretty good cost wise for what he does. The first matchup was really close and I think the teamup with Firelord and Galactus would have gone very differently if it was not for sloppy rolls from me. GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: I really enjoyed Firelord. I liked being able to fly around and apply some wounds due to the Cosmic Heat. I can see Firelord being a formidable foe against figures that are able to block all damage from attacks, like Lanterns. Will definitely use this guy again in future games. |

Re: The Book of Firelord - Vote for Public Playtesting
Armies:
Firelord (400), Galactus (1000) (1400 pts) Fan4 + Silver Surfer (1400pts) Map: City Park Game Results: Went into this thinking that Cosmic Heat was going to just melt everyone, but Reed locked him down early. Not for long though, as Firelord won initiative and went all in, removing 3 OMs + a re-roll for 9 skulls against Reed, obliterating him. I thought it was game over at that point. All that was left to do that round was for team Cosmic taking turns moving up Galactus. Next round, Firelord did his thing, but only got Sue up to 4 wounds, creating the ideal conditions for Thing, who destroyed Galactus in two turns with Clobberin' Time. Firelord destroyed Sue, but again only managed to get Surfer up to 5 wounds, again creating the ideal conditions for Thing. Still, Power Cosmic kept Firelord in the game, and Thing only brought Firelord to his last life. Firelord had to take the risk for some final Cosmic Heat, but took Thing's LEA, giving the F4 the game. Definitely not how I expected the game to go. On paper and early game, seemed like the F4 were going to get wrecked, but Thing rose to the occasion, and I definitely got lucky at all the right times. General Thoughts: I don't have any experience with Firelord outside of this. I think any team that doesn't have a lockdown figure or a heavy hitter is going to struggle. It seems like he gives more bang for your buck than Surfer at 400pts. I could see some stats going down a tad, but can't say without seeing how else he's fared. |

Re: The Book of Firelord - Vote for Final Editing
I propose a vote for final editing.
Firelord went 4-4 and finally feels like he's at an even footing with the other Heralds at 400 points. |
