ROUND 1 : Red Team initiative.
Action starts fast, Positron uses Neutron Bomb on Cap and Kid Flash but fails to wound. Positron and Ms. Marvel both take a wound over the round.

ROUND 2 : Blue Team initiative.
Positron is heavily wounded by an attack from Cap and Winter Soldier. Positron and Manticore try to fight back, but they fail to do anything besides a Flash Arrow onto WInter Soldier. Positron gets taken out by Cap, WS runs towards Manticore and deals 1 wound before he teleports away. Blue Team keeps up the offense and heavily wounds Manticore.

ROUND 3 : Red Team initiative.
Manticore goes down quickly. Ms. Marvel is trading nearly wound for wound with Cap.

ROUND 4 : Red Team initiative.
Cap goes down to Ms. Marvel’s assault. Winter Soldier with Oracle’s Secret Attack Plan manages to quickly finish off Ms. Marvel. Blue Team wins!

Post-Game Thoughts : Bad showing from the Freedom Phalanx duo here. Positron got a decent number of attacks off, but his rolls just weren’t there. This was essentially Ms. Marvel vs. the Blue Team.

Pre-Game Thoughts/Preview : I’m going to use Positron and Manticore as a late game duo this game. Hopefully their allies can soften up the enemies beforehand.

Damage Done (Normal Attack) : Used 6 times, 1 wound to Graviton.
FREEDOM PHALANX : Used 3 times
LINGERING RADIATION : Inflicted 1 wound to Graviton.
NEUTRON BOMB : N/A

ROUND 1 : Blue Team initiative.
The married couple moves up. Star-Lord gets a lucky wound onto Big Barda. Venom gets two more wounds onto Barda, while the blue team moves up.

ROUND 2 : Blue Team initiative.
Venom and Graviton do great work for their teams, heavily wounding Barda and Star-Lord respectively. Positron deals 2 wounds to Graviton. Graviton is rolling hot, and takes out Star-Lord. Venom ends the round by killing Barda.

ROUND 3 : Red Team initiative.
Manticore places a glue arrow marker on Graviton. Graviton tosses Positron across the map, dealing 1 wound in the process. Manticore places a glue arrow marker on Mr. Miracle, and deals 2 wounds. Venom deals 1 wound to Graviton. Mr. Miracle ends the round by getting on height and dealing 2 wounds to Venom.

ROUND 4 : Red Team initiative.
Positron and Manticore attack Graviton, but his Gravitational Shield keeps him safe. Positron takes a wound from Graviton. Venom can’t punch through Graviton’s defense, and Graviton puts Positron on his last wound.

ROUND 5 : Red Team initiative.
Graviton tosses around the red team, killing Positron in the process. Venom finally takes him out on a big attack roll.

ROUND 6 : Blue Team initiative.
Venom quickly deals 2 wounds to Miracle, putting him on his last life. The rest of the round is Miracle going after Manticore, until he catches him for the kill.

ROUND 7 : Blue Team initiative.
Mostly Venom and Miracle trading blows. Both of them get down to one life, Defy Death keeps Miracle alive.

ROUND 8: Red Team initiative.
Miracle manages to kill Venom. Defy Death gets him through a few attacks from Magik, but he eventually falls. Red Team wins!

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Magik 4/5 Life

Post-Game Thoughts : Pretty back and forth game. Graviton really dictated the flow of the battle until he died. Positron didn't do a ton, but I do think those 2 wounds on Graviton helped his team win.

Thoughts on the Tested Unit's Cost, Balance, and Draftability : Feels pretty fine. I think he’ll be draftable outside of Freedom Phalanx as a mid range fighter. Obviously paired well with Manticore.

General Thoughts on the Tested Unit : So, two rough performances in both of my PTs. I think a fair bit of it was dice luck/fighting figures with good defense. With an attack of 4 and potential for autowounds off of that, Positron definitely does better against something like a low defense + high health figure, or figures with average defense, and that's not something I really thought about when picking armies for this PT.

Rock lands 1 wound on Positron with a grenade and misses everyone else. Super Soldier takes Manticore down with a big swing. Superman hits Super Soldier for 1 wound.

R3: City of Heroes win initiative. Superman swings on Super Solder and misses. Cap lands 2 wounds on Positron with his shield. Positron hits Super Soldier for 1 wound and gives him another with “LINGERING RADIATION”. Super Soldier smashes Positron. Superman ends Super Soldiers killing spree with a solid punch.

R4: Soldiers win initiative. Cap misses and Superman hits him for 1 wound. Superman lands 1 wound on Cap again. A whole lot of swings and misses.

R5: Soldiers win initiative. Once again Cap misses and Superman takes him out. Guile lands a wound on Superman. With a massive swing Superman hits Rock for 4 wounds. Rock lands 2 wounds on Superman. Superman finally takes Rock down.

R6: Superman wins initiative. Guile gets smoked by a Superman sized punch. With Guile down Superman makes short work of the Hulkbuster Soldiers.

Winning Team: Superman with 3 wounds.
Side note: This is not what I was expecting from this match. It looked really bad in the beginning and then Superman just destroyed everything. Next game will be a rematch. I didn’t get to see what Positron can do.

R4: Soldiers win initiative. Super Soldier takes Star-Lord down. Manticore lands a wound on Guile.

R5: City of Heroes win initiative. Superman kills Super Soldier with a hit landing 3 wounds. Positron misses his shot on Guile and Manticore lands and a Glue Marker as well as 1 wound. Hulkbusters take aim on Positron and Superman blocks all but 1 wound. Manticore lands 1 wound on Guile. Holy crap, Neutron Bomb takes Guile and every single Hulkbuster down for the win.

Positron zooms past the pack and starts a fight with Mister Fantastic and his wife. The Thing empowered by the wounds on Invisible Woman destroys X-O, even with an X-O Marker removed it wasn’t enough to save him. Mister Fantastic hits Positron for 2 wounds.

R3: City for Heroes win initiative. Cap misses with his shield throw. Thing moves to Positron and smashes him and Human Torch hits Manticore for 1 wound. With Positron down the Heroes lose their turn, Human Torch takes off taking a wound and hitting Manticore for 2 wounds. The Thing hits Cap for 2 wounds. Manticore blinds Torch, but misses hit shot. With nothing to lose Torch goes Supernova and takes down Manticore while The Thing smashes Cap for the win.

Winning Team: Mister Fantastic with 2 wounds, Invisible Woman with 2 wounds, Human Torch with 3 wounds, and The Thing with 0 wounds.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Over all this guy is really solid. Luck played a big part in all of these matches however. His Lingering Radiation is super useful, it’s always good to have and auto-wound. Neutron Bomb can be crazy effective if placed right, really powerful. I’m excited to see how Freedom Phalanx will bring the whole team together with Statesman. I don’t see an issue with him staying right at 220 for now, I am glad however, to see these guys on hold. Not that I don’t want them to be released, but I would like to see all three play together and gauge them from there. Great work here Fresh, keep it up!!
