Re: TV: What Are You Watching?
Wrapping up Season 3 of Last Kingdom. This is a first for me; a show based on books I’ve read (well, listened to as audiobooks) that significantly departs from the novels, and I love it.

I've been watching Narcos. I'm really liking it.

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?
Still watching Narcos and loving it. But I also started watching Warrior Nun on Netflix. It looked pretty cool in the trailer and after two episodes, it has its moments. But the pacing is so slow and some other issues, that I might cut my losses with 2 episodes.

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?
Loved Robotech since it came out, but never watched the original Macross series. Prompted by a mention in a video I watched on Youtube, I went back to the original for the first time. Finished it last night. It has been a while since I watched Robotech. I have to say the story works way better in the orignal version without the shoe horned in mentions for the other Robotech eras. That said, holy crap that story is so plot centric that it doesn't give some very interesting ideas any legs at all. Oh and the continuity problems that are probably entirely due to recycling footage to keep the budget down. I would love to see this remade today with better execution on almost all counts. And better songs. Even the Japanese songs were annoying.

"We can win. We can win."
Named my first cat Minmei. I remember watching as a kid and some episodes were brutal. I just wanted to see the battles. Battletech has a decent animated series. Except they use different animation during the battles and I did not care for it. |

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?
Amazon offered me 1 free month of Prime yesterday so I accepted and watched The Boys. Anything else on there particularly good or interesting I should maybe check out before I cancel? I've seen all of The Man in the High Castle.

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?
I've heard good things about "The Expanse" but haven't seen it. I enjoyed "Good Omens," but we're Tenant fans in general in this house. "Knives Out" is a good movie that's on there if you haven't seen it elsewhere. "The Tick" on there is great and you should check it out if you haven't seen it. It's the best adaptation of the source material for him that I've seen.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?
I liked Lore. Hit and miss on some episodes but overall pretty good. Second season is formatted a little different.
Samurai Troopers aka Ronin Warriors is pretty good for a kids cartoon, a bit long in some parts. Lots of episodes in that one. Never watched the newer ones though. |

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?
I believe I watched The Tick a while back, but I can't be sure so I'll check it out again. Watched the Expanse for a while when it was on Sci-fi Network but lost interest in it after a while. Seen Knives Out, it wasn't too bad. I'll have to check out Good Omens, Lore, & Samurai Troopers. Thanks!

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?
Yeah, we watched it last night. I think everybody and their brother has been watching it.
King George was great. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?
Turns out I had not see the Amazon Tick show, so I watched both seasons of it. I really liked how they framed the whole first season as Arthur's origin story since Tick doesn't have one, he just is. I also liked that they gave him that high tech suit made by someone else for someone else. Overkill was a nice addition too.
I wouldn't say it was my favorite of the 3 Tick shows I've now seen though. The cartoon and previous live action show was just more goofy and fun IMO, although it's been a while since I've seen them. If your only introduction to The Tick was the Amazon show and you looked at the C3G card we made, you'd wonder why he has a "Spoon!" power. As such, this one was a little too grounded IMO. I also feel like season 2 took away from Arthur's journey in season 1.
Spoiler Alert!
