Re: Sports: NFL
Not sure if Wilson is the right comparison, but it looks like the Browns made the right pick. Mayfield got away with a dropped interception and the awesome fumble return by his O-lineman, but he also had 3 dropped passes - out of only 6 incompletions! Very impressive debut.

Raiders, Steelers, Texans, Seahawks, Cardinals, Lions. What do they all have in common? The Bills got their first win of the season before any of those teams listed.

Re: Sports: NFL
Hah!
I’m just taking some comfort that the NFL’s worst starting quarterback was very lucky today, in that receivers tended to be where he threw the ball, and on a day when the running game couldn’t get in gear the Ravens still managed to win. Phew! |

Re: Sports: NFL
I'm legit hoping the Cowboys just fire Garret on Monday, go 1-15 this year and hopefully get the 1st pick of every round in next years draft.

Pats doing the September Pats thing. Still, have to be proud of this one. Now we just need to make some noise in the division .... C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Sports: NFL
Fun game last night. Despite the loss that's the best the Broncos have looked since week 1. Getting Jones and Simmons back in the secondary was crucial; it was nice to not see receivers running wide open 2 seconds after the snap on every down. Denver still can't protect the QB, and that's not great when your QB is really bad against pressure, but aside from that it was a pretty solid team effort. After screwing the pooch in the 2017 draft, it's nice to see a bunch of rookies contributing this year.
There are lots of plays to talk about at the end of the game - Mahomes' insane lefty throw, the missed delay of game on the key play of KC's final drive (why isn't that something you can challenge??), and of course the hook and ladder attempt on Denver's last offensive play. But the one I'll remember is our $25 million QB missing a (by NFL standards) wide open Demaryius Thomas for the go-ahead TD. |
