I’m not up for LDing a reeval of the optional throwing rules at the moment, but maybe eventually if there is support for the idea.

I really like the throwing and knockback rules, I just never use them cause I'm usually testing and I feel like it would offset the test or be one more thing to remember when using a complicated army. I wish there was a way to make them more official like the vdos became as I think those are the only two left as optional and they really are fun. Maybe they could be draftable events or something? How do they affect price? I would actually use them more if it were something I chose for the game.

The only problem with making them official is we would really have to analyze how they interact with over 1300 designs. Not impossible but an undertaking.

Sounds very thematic, but as the great A3n once said. The more DO interactions you create the closer to a simulation it becomes rather than a board game.

I like the concept of DO throwing and Knockback as (separate) draftable Event Cards.*
*possibly being rebranded as Story Cards soon. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

This seemed like the appropriate place to post this link. I added it to the OP
HexAotP-BackTemplate.psd This is the Photoshop file for the hex pattern that is on the back side of the AotP tiles. If you mirror it you will have a regular hex pattern for all your needs. @Alexandros signature Last edited by japes; January 1st, 2022 at 05:19 PM. |

I wondered if there'd be support here for making a change to the Manhole Cover DO?
Basically the issue with this on maps is it unthematically gives you height advantage by having a height of one, even though it's about the thinness of a glyph. This tends to be unintuitive in practice and makes it harder to put on a map unless you want to add height advantage to the space it's in. It also makes it feel a bit too strong on maps since you also get the +2 to defense against ranged attacks. My proposal would be to add a short second power to the card to address that: Quote:
