Ahhhhhh! Never have I been so glad that I teach sixth grade!

Sixth graders are also old enough to get the unbirthday (six months delay) theory so everyone gets a birthday recognition moment during the school year.

LOL. This year I'm passing out the standard B-Day card, B-day pencil, AND a dried, brightly-dyed-day-glo-color starfish to each child. Those children with summer birthdays are so worried they're not going to get their present from me. In June I dedicate a day for each child who has a birthday during the vacation.
