Bring the Terrain back. I have had to pay hundreds of dollars on lava alone and i only have around 2 and a half sets. Bring the sets back. I would also love it if they would put Heroscape back in target and toysrus.

Ok, I have what I think is a workable rough first draft for the thread to work on and refine.

An Open Letter to WotC for Additional Heroscape Terrain

We, the undersigned Heroscapers, love playing Heroscape and request that more terrain be available for us to purchase.

We are excited by the new master set Battle for the Underdark and appreciate the elements that it adds to the already rich options available for map building.

However, we are concerned that there has been a trend to reduce the amount of terrain included with the master sets and that the original master set is no longer available. In addition, most of the previous terrain expansions are no longer available for purchase either. This has created an artificial scarcity and commodity pricing. Pricing can be as high as ten times the original retail value putting it out of reach to the average player. The previous terrain expansions have become collectibles rather than pieces to use in the game that we love to play.

Although we don't know what the future plans are in regards to reprints or the production of new terrain, we do offer some suggestions that we hope may be useful:

1. Reprint previously released terrain. A re-release of Rise of the Valkyrie as a terrain only expansion. Reprints of Tundra, Volcanic, and Jungle terrains. Again, even as terrain-only expansions.

2. Repackage previously released terrain as boosters. An alternative approach would be to make terrain available as waves and sell the previously released types of terrain in packs like the figures.

3. Create new terrain releases. This can sometimes be as simple as re-purposing a previous release with new paint and theme, ala the aborted desert expansion.

We hope that you will consider our request and that our suggestions may be of some use. We look forward to the continued production of a game that we love and hope that more terrain will be available soon.

This is a great idea. Don't know why they can't just put a bucket of terrain for sale, kinda like legos. Then have the figures seperate in boosters. I just want to be able to go to the store and actually purchase heroscape. New, old or whatever.

I would like to get my hands some Obsidian Guards, and I'm sure that people would want Yetis and Spiders for bonding. So I think that at least common figures should be re-released with the terrain. Thus, IMO the last line needs to go.

Also, I personally would be more willing to buy new terrain if some common figures came with them, even if they were repainted sculpts. So long they had new abilities.

I think you should include in the letter about how little terrain can prove to be unattractive to new players as we wish to expand the fan base of Heroscape so that possible supported organized events could be hosted at the local game stores.

Since I came into heroscape late I missed some of the good terrain.And I am not spending $200 on tundra! sign me up

I would also like the opportunity to replace the lava and tundra sets I had to relinquish last year (for a reasonable price).

Speaking as someone that only has master sets 2 and 3 for terrain you assuredly have my support. As a side note the comic store I get most of HS from told me on FCBD that they will be re-printing RotV soon but she didn't have an exact time frame for it yet. I just hope they will also be re-printing RttFF, Tundra and VW.

RttFF was available from HasbroToys.com for $20 up until last week. They just ran out. I think you can still readily find it online for retail if you act fast.
