Altering Figures Breaks rules?

There is some talk about bending Krug so that he fits on the bridge and things like that. My question is how much can you alter a figure before it is too much?

I would say that there is no "Too Much" it's like "How Far can you walk into a forrest"?

You can't alter a figure too much. If you alter Krug so much that he is no longer Krug than it's the begining of altering a custom.

My mind is the Pink Zippo that sits on top of a pack of Camel Wides.

I think altering figs could unbalance play.

Take Nilfeim for instance, He is a big bad a$$, but ive found he doesnt fit where I want him to go alot.

I think this is intentional by the designers to keep him balanced.

It allows the small figs to "hide" and get close to him with out him being able to get to close.

An example from a game I had recently was 2, 4th mass were just under a bride with some trees around it, they had line of sight on Nilf, and were in range to fire.

when Neilf tied to move towards them he just could not fit anywhere to get an attack on them.

again I think this is intentional and I believe the sculpt should be considered when debating a units cost, pros, cons etc...

I'm not sure just how intentional it is, but I agree 100% that a figure's form is part of its characteristics in the same way as its attack rating. And you'd have as much (or as little) justification in altering Krug's life as you would in altering his shape IMO.

K/H_Addict costs too much!
with the krug example, some fit, some dont. i have 1 that does and one that didnt. i took the one that didnt and bent his blade in about a centimeter to make him fit. i dont think it made any difference in game play at all, but yes, i agree that some figures were sculpted the way they were to help balance them.

Okay, I was not advocating bending Krug until he was unrecognizable, but rather just to get some of his extraneous bits where they would fit comfortably...

I've always been crazy, but it's kept me from going insane.

If you confuse your Jotun figure with a Orc Grut...
you might be an alterer

If Mimring can hide behind a ruin...
you might be an alterer

If you are rolling for range attack with Dund's rocket launcher...
you might be an alterer

Sure hope you meant "bridge".

I think if nothing is detatched or added, a little tweak here and there during your move is fine. Just don't let anyone set up a space heater or some hot water during the game.

I think Oprime meant bride , but the 4th Mass had their eyes on a MILF.
