Historic Battlefields thread

Well, ive started building an Alamo map in Virtual scape, and want to see more historical battle fields, and scenarios. So, if you've got one, in real life, or digitaly, post it here. Please post pictures, or screen shots of the battlefield.

Thanks, and Enjoy.

Theophilus.

WWII or something, lol. They really need to make tank units, maybe they take up like 4 spaces or something?

I am not sure exactly how a pyramid would be a "natural" wonder. But I'd love to see the map!

What do you guys think would be some good historic maps? (Lets put them here instead of making a new thread for every idea we hav)

Here is the list of cool battles for heroscape maps (and scenarios):

Trasimene Lake
Gettysburg
Gallipoli
Manzikert
Saratoga

I will add some more later on.

remember, the battle fields have to be made. Lets saya maximum amount of pieces used

4 Mastersets, and two of every other terrain expansion. Is that good?

I suggest that the historic maps not be focused on famous battles. Rather, the famous battles that would make a cool map.

P.S. If you can find me a battle that happened within the area of an erupting volcano, I will forever be in your debt.

Yeah I know I was in a hurry. I meant famous landforms (natural and artificial)
such as Iwo Jima (did I spell that right), and Bunker Hill.

yea im not so sure i want 1000 (them) against 250 (me)
i like the idea of using real places (to scale not like using north america as a battlefield) as a battlefield. or using places from good movies such as lord of the rings or star wars or uh uh uh uh!!!! horror movies you get the point...
