Eldrazi for heroscape!
This a new post on any ideas on integrating an eldrazi-style mechanic into 'scape. I have read some of the story for magic's iteration of these monsters and it seems that there is an opportunity for board manipulation. If you have read any of the stories about eldrazi, there is an effect they have on the landscape that turns everything into "Dust". The dungeon tiles from the D&D starter look like this type of altered terrain.

Re: Eldrazi for heroscape!
If you want to go the classic, overpowered Eldrazi, route you could try something like this:
ANNIHILATOR X Whenever (Eldrazi) attacks, you may distribute up to X wound markers among any number of figures adjacent to the defending figure. (Eldrazi) can never be effected by it's own Annihilator X. A bit to powerful at some points, especially with higher numbers. For the newer Eldrazi, you could use this: INGEST X Whenever (Eldrazi) attacks, you may exile the top X cards of the defending figure's controller's library. That goes nicely with this: CONSUMING WRATH X (Or some other name) Whenever (Eldrazi) attacks, but before rolling attack dice, you may place up to X cards the defending figure's controller owns from exile into their graveyard. If you do, (Eldrazi) gets +1/+1 until end of turn for each card put into a graveyard this way. Ingest could be modified to be used with damage dealt instead of a static number. I think these traits fill an "Omnomnom" personality the Eldrazi have. Oops, rolled a 1. |
