What maps should I have set up?

Next Saturday I'll be having a gameday at the local HobbytownUSA. What maps should I use? I'll be having at least 3 mastersets available, along with 2 Vw, 1TT, 2 RTTFF, and one castle. Any ideas on which maps I should use?

Are you wanting to build 3 smaller maps, or one big one?

If it's smaller maps, I'd say make one with a castle. That one should be a good attention grabber. I'm really partial to Cornpuff's map Nerak's Passage. That one doesn't use a full masterset, so you'll have extra terrain for one of the other maps. I think it's a really fun map to play. The other one I'd say a tree heavy map. Maybe the RttFF map with 2 sets of trees.

If it's one big map, I'm with Teamski. Use your imagination. Maybe take a look at Gary's MOPs.

I think it depends on the number of people showing up....

if you have 6 or more, you probably want three boards ready for play.

Just 4? A nice team game or FFA on a big board would be fun and chew up a few hours of time.

A must read for all 'Scapers!

I'm probably going to have several small maps set up at the event to allow more than one game to be played at a time.

Perhaps Soul Razor Canyon or Forsaken Waters for a nice introductory map?

I'd set up several small maps and get one that can do 3 people. Like the map that comes with the RTTFF. That way when you get an odd number of people, you won't be scrambling trying to figure out a map for the extra guy. I also find the Forsaken Waters map that comes with the master set to be a very even map that you can play a lot of different type games on. King of the hill works. On heroscape.com, the Wellspring of Obession is another fun map. The first scenario in there lets 2-5 people plop down their units anywhere on the map. Makes for some different strategy and wild battles. It may not be the best for new players though.
